Edit 2024: Sadly this place is now just a cash grab since the new ownership took over. $23 for a an order of spaghetti and meatballs with broken noodles thats slightly more than half the size it used to be. I ordered a glass of water and they brought me a bottle of Dasani instead and charged me 1.50 with no explanation and no drinks or prices listed on the menu. The Alla Piero has been a family favorite since the 90s and is now flavorless. I imagine JP would be embarrassed. Prior 5 star review: So fricken good. I have eaten a lot of spaghetti and meatballs in my life but Piero's is the best. They also gave me a generous portion so I boxed and and got two dinners out of it. Their menu has great variety including deserts and alcoholic beverages. They were very busy but the service didn't suffer nor waiting time to be seated. The restaurant has the ambience of a small Italian cafe but the tables have plenty of space between them to provide some sense of privacy and without the fear of somebody in your lap by mistake. Overpriced for quality of food. $8 for two meatballs! Salad was poorly assembled with a handful of spring mix ONE cherry tomato and ONE olive! Bread and pasta sauce was “ok” but nothing exceptional. Our waitress was very busy and if I had a question I had to stop her when she was walking pass.. and why in heavens would you serve soda and water in just a can or bottled water! Definitely a disappointing evening. Don’t waste your time or money.
Even though the restaurant was understaffed, we still enjoyed a delightful meal with great service. I highly recommend trying the chicken parmigiana, as it was the standout dish! Love the open kitchen idea you can see what’s happening with your food. You can see Joe cooking and right hand chef, they aim to please service was great!
