Pika Tortas Ahogadas

I recently stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant that serves excellent and authentic Mexican cuisine. At first, I was a bit hesitant being the only person of color in the establishment, but the staff made me feel right at home. Everyone was welcoming and friendly, creating a great atmosphere. When we arrived close to closing time at 9 o'clock, instead of turning us away, the chef kindly reopened the kitchen to serve us. This level of hospitality is rare and greatly appreciated. The food was truly exceptional and some of the best Mexican cuisine I have ever tasted in Paramount. I hope they never change their authentic recipes.

Excellent and authentic Mexican food. I'm glad I discovered this place a while back. At first I felt out of place being the only brother in the restaurant but the staff made me feel right at home literally. All had smiles and are a good crew of staff. They were about to close 6 minutes before 9pm. Instead of turning us away, the chef/cook was kind enough to turn his burners back on to serve us. Most places would have said no but they said yes! And the food is the best Mexican food I've tasted in Paramount (and I've been to a few good spots in the area). Please don't ever change your authentic recipes! ?

This was crazy, waited a long time to be seated then, waited 25 minutes just to be seated outside on empty tables and waited more then 45 for our food before we took off the waiter said not to leave cause our food was on its way out already finally and the manager for Saturday sucked standing around looking pretty only. This is not worth my money I for sure did not leave any tip and if you need on make sure your customer service is on point. I will never come here again nor will I ever recommend this place ever!!!! Hey but on the bright site the bill came in quick like speedy Gonzalez.

This is my 4th time to this little restaurant and finally decided to write a review about it, I always get the torta ahogada and taquitos which they are so good soft but crunchy sauce is good spicy just how I like, the only thing is that el bolillo is a little small for the torta ahogada I fell that for that price it should be a little bigger, but hey its okay.! it's worth it Aguas frescas are good and not to sweet you can enjoy it! definitely recommend

This is my fourth visit to this cozy restaurant and I have finally decided to leave a review. I always suggest trying the torta ahogada and taquitos as they are deliciously soft with a crispy exterior. The spicy sauce is just how I like it. My only complaint is that the bolillo bread for the torta ahogada is a bit small for the price. Overall, I highly recommend this place.

This place has good Mexican cuisine with good variety, we ordered Barbacoa nachos for appetizers and they were gone in seconds! My brothers and cousins loved them just like me. The Torta Ahogada is full and shredded into delicious sauce, filled with pickled red onions and carnitas, do not forget their happy hour? good mango margaritas.

This post is dedicated to my strong, beautiful, fearless followers (you know who you are! I had a delicious spicy salsa with Tacos Dorados de Papa (I know what I thought, but it was a moment of weakness. Potatoes are NOT good for you. I also had the guacamole with chips (another no for the chips!

They remodel the place! New prices, and food! The bad thing is i got pretty disappointed when i was served my torta ahogada and it wasnt like the original. Now, meat is shredded not in chunks like mexico). I also asked for a MIXTA and they used to have Buche...looks like now no more : '

This place lost its touch... half of everything was not available.. the food came half cold.. it was good space a couple of years ago... Maybe new administration????????????????????. 3/10..

The restaurant has exceptional food and service! I have visited multiple times and noticed improvements in their offerings. The atmosphere is cozy and the food is consistently delicious.
