a great view from the greed mountain on church species and the beautiful landscape in the very nicely furnished beer garden is also worth a little extra trip.Very well-trained service and a good eating at decent price is a naturality here.The wee of the environment are served in a small bottle, so you get a fresh wine from the reusable glass bottle at every quarter. only if it is a bit warmer would recommend a small wine cooler for the white wine. the card offers something for everyone, also for the small starving or the small wallet.Also for children there is a possibility of play in the rear beer garden area.Inside and on the toilets you see the tooth of the time, it is also well maintaine...
the pilgergaststätte was once the house of a church servicer of the small pilgrimage chapel st. marien (giersbergkapelle), which is not far away. from church times one follows a sign and it goes up to the ggiersberg. from above you have a beautiful view over Freiburg and can look up to the vosges at good weather. especially on hot days, it is cooler and more pleasant here than in Freiburg. we make here a small vesper in the beer garden, but you can also enjoy good bourgeois, regional, Baden and Swabian cuisine. parking is available.

Good food Great view Unfriendly service... will probably only be a problem if you have children. They have a stand with books near the toilets in plain view, my daughter was going to borrow one to read while we waited for our food (as usual in Germany, they leave toys and books for the chlidren to play) but the owner barked at her that it was private property and that she should have brought her own (there was no sign saying do not touch) On the plus side, I enjoyed a great pint of wheat beer.
15 of us decided to have a 'get-together ' at the Pilgergaststätte St. Laurentius and we had a very interesting an enjoyable evening. As it was still warm enough, we had our pre dinner drinks sitting outside with a marvellous view over Kirchzarten. We moved inside for dinner, which we enjoyed in a nice cozy atmosphere. The service was quick and efficient. We would definitely go there again.
