Pina Pizza House - Réservation de table

First, I would like to acknowledge the fact that all of the wait staff and employees were wonderful and attentive. At no point is this review about service. But, have they tasted this food? Now, let's address the utter tragedy that is the food at Pina Pizza. I can't remember a single time in my life that I've had pizza this bad. It's as if all flavor was sucked out of every ingredient used. The dough was undercooked and bland. It's as if they forgot salt and didn't proof the dough. The sauce lacked any depth, none of the sugars in the tomatoes were developed. If you had crushed unripe tomatoes left them raw, they would have more flavor than this sauce. I don't know how they cooked this pizza...

As someone that grew up in Downey, I have very fond memories of eating Pina's Pizza delivered in the cute delivery trucks. It was a treat in our house and It was the best pizza! Was is the operative word... I was recently in Downey and tasted the pizza, and I was shocked because it tasted like a frozen pizza that they cooked in the oven. The dough and crust was not at all like I remembered. The crust was hard and the vegetable pizza had canned mushrooms on it. Even Dominos Pizza uses fresh mushrooms. It wasn't at all like an Italian Pizza should taste and I wonder if they changed her recipe???

First time here.., I personally loved their pizza . The customer service was super good too. Waiter was a sweet girl that checked on us and recommended the large pizza instead of the XL pizza (it was only 3 of us). That said, my bf and brother did not think the pizza was that good. They compared it to little Cesar's pizza : so I think it's personal choice of whether you like it or not. I def liked it so we coming back either way lol.

This is a place of sweet memories I went there today for the first time in over 40 years. It was just as delizioso as I remember it. A true Italian family run restaurant with recipes from decades ago in Italy. Everything is homemade for instance the sausage. A real treat. Wonderful memories revisited. Wanted to try something different and the carnitas pizza did NOT disappoint. We ordered it to go, still was warm/hot when we got home. Super delicious and the chipotle sauce works perfectly. The quality of the pizza was phenomenal as well. Every bite was yummy. Will def be coming back!

Awful pizza! I waited over 40 minutes for this. I understand it says to allow extra time for the pizza, but it was mediocre at best, with hardly any cheese. The topping of Romano cheese was a joke. I really did not enjoy this so-called family recipe.

I tried this place for the first time last week I LOVED this place! Crissy was our waiter she was THE SWEETEST soul! I ordered so much food because of crissy I have 0 regrets. : I can't wait to bring family over for dinner to this location.

My wife and I visited for a Valentine's dinner, and we were not let down. The food was exceptional, and the service was outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will definitely return. Réservez une table maintenant

Pandemic hit a lot of places. Pins has improved since then and glad to see they survived and thriving. They are a landmark in Downey and a must visit.

Pizza is delicious and their meatball sandwich is the best in Downey. I havent eaten there in awhile but take out is fast and delivery is great too.
