5 stars are not enough if possible I would give 10. The food was absolutely out of this world. I came in for the first time tonight with my in-laws, husband and our son. I am not a fan of German food, but my in laws and husband were enthralled with how amazing the food and presentation was. I ordered the lobster Mac and cheese, I’ve had lobster mac&cheese elsewhere but this lobster was cooked to perfection, it’s like it melted in my mouth. This place is the very definition of meh. The Pine Grove used to be great, but now the glory days are gone. My wife and I went last night, and other than the charming atmosphere and amazing sauerbraten, there's nothing here to rave about, especially for the price. The $60 steak was cooked properly, but was like cutting through a shoe, and the absence of all German beers, on a Saturday night, was just silly. The strudel was okay, again, just meh, but it comes loaded with raisins and walnuts. That might be your cup of tea, but it wasn't ours, and we weren't told beforehand. I worked there. He bought me in just in time to start covering his catering parties. My second day I and a friend of mine covered a 250 person party. A couple weeks later I had fallen, broke 5 ribs and was not brought back after. Although my attempts to go back to work were left with voice mail and no return. I still tried to bring him business that failed. Because he wouldn't spend the money, I had lost the job. The cooks are great and food is great. However it is way, way over priced.

The food and chef should get 20 stars. The food was absolutely out of this world. Came in from NC, to visit my son, daughter in law and grandson and everything about this was amazing. Aside from my daughter in law we all love German food, and this was the absolute best German food we have ever had. Everything just melted in our mouths. The chef even spent time with us and asked us how to make a German dessert. We are definitely coming back December and can’t wait.

My husband, daughter and myself had dinner last night at the Pine Grove Inn. It was such a surprise to see Janet Russell, psychic, medium spiritual adviser there. She will be having readings and events there. Check out the website for more information. Our servers were fantastic along with the food! We mentioned it to our servers and the next thing we know the chef came out to thanks us!! We had such a great night. Great way to start the holiday season!
