Pino's Cucina - Réservation de table

06/06/21 re. 06/05/21 dinner at Pino's Cucina in Ladera Ranch, CA Found this place by internet search, good reviews and sounded nice so decided to try it. They take reservations which I really appreciate. My husband and I took my parents, and were greeted warmly by a gentleman who told us to choose any table we would like (it was early and we were the only ones there at the time). We sat at a booth and were immediately asked about beverages. The booth was spacious with black linen table cloth and cloth napkins. The restaurant seemed to be well organized and very clean. We went there today for valentines dinner. First they couldn’t find my name in the reservation list, after I spelled it out three times. Then they sat us down and our waiter had no time or patience to wait on us to order anything. We sat there until I flagged someone down and a different server showed up we ordered and then just waited, no drinks no appetizers no bread…someone brought out olive oil and balsamic and that was it for another 15 minutes. They had enough staff just none for our table. I finally spoke with yet another server who was apologetic and courteous. However the service did not change. Our original server showed up when it was time for the check. Poor poor poor experience.

one of our favorites to revise, it was as good as ever. my son had a veal chop (first time for him) and really enjoyed it. we also had chicken parm, gnocchi and sole piccata. all were very good. the staff here, stephano and franco, are attentive and friendly. pino came from the kitchen and welcomed us too. this is a place to try; very reasonable prices and authentic Italian cuisine. they also have some excellent Italian wines.

this is the first time that my wife and I have ordered calves and aubergineparmigiana and there was no crispy crust. we could not say the difference between the two things. we ordered arancini as an appetizer and it was perfect. the main dishes left something to be desired. very strange. Always a great experience when dining at Pinos with a very pleasant wine selection as well. We’re new to the area and look forward to many more wonderful dining experiences as we journey through their menu.

Had a wonderful experience at Pino’s! Food was awesome, service perfect and speaking with the Chef was the highlight of the evening. You should make it your go to for authentic Italian food and pastries!

Cioppino lacked fish and soup- overpriced for what we got Veal chop $65 good but drowned in Marsala sauce
