I was working local so thought I would check out the local fish and chip shop. I ordered a battered sausage and chips and paid my £3. After waiting for 10 minutes an attractive young lady walked in. The two young lads serving eyes suddenly awoken. The young lady ordered exactly the same meal as me and received hers instantly, and out the door she went! Another 5 minutes had passed and finally I could took into my meal, unfortunately the battered sausage wasn’t battered. Shocking customer service, will not be going here again that’s for sure!
My mum 89) and myself were passing through Thrapston and knew it was a sit in as well as a takeaway, decided to eat here, but upon entering found, because of covid, the restaurant was closed, 26-2-22 end of strict covid rules, what a nice chap Brad is, he took down the chairs, wiped the tables and made us feel at home, we had the most delicious fish, battered to perfection, lovely chips, mushy peas and a pot of tea, what great service, thank you all at Pisces for looking after my mum and I , Glenn and Hazel
Travelling through Thrapston at 5.45pm and nipped in for large cod and chips and a side order of onion rings. Unfortunately my order couldn't be fulfilled, as there was no large cod available and no onion rings available, which was a surprise so early on a Saturday evening. But, I must say that the tiny fish available was very nicely cooked and the chips were nice as well, if very expensive for the small portions.
I waited over twenty minutes for freshly cooked food, but it seemed like the teenagers working behind the counter were inexperienced. When I finally got the food home, it looked like leftovers with only three small pieces of fish. It was not worth the wait or the money.

We were in Thrapston for a family event and had just driven 7 hours up from Devon. We were tired and just wanted to eat before heading to bed at the hotel. The food was excellent and the service was quick and friendly. We highly recommend this restaurant.
We popped in early in Friday with our 18 month old Everyone including the baby really enjoyed their dinner. Decent size portions, really well cooked and perfect service. We ate in... Promise we will be back... thank you so much
The haddock and chips were excellent. It was worth the wait and I will definitely call ahead next time. This was the best fish and chips I've had in years.
Fabulous fresh fish, delicious batter, excellent chips. Fried to perfection. Very reliable quality and clean premises. Efficient service. Excellent value.

Good crispy batter, nice chips, big portions, very clean and the staff very helpful. Will definitely visit again. In fact this is our go to chippy now.
