This place has the Best BBQ Sauce around!!! The mild and hot are just the embodiment of everything bbq sauce should be! I've been coming here for years. They are a great spot! Sometimes admittedly the tenderness can be inconsistent which is the reason Fox Brothers has an edge, but the food is always good. The fried green beans here are a can't miss addiction. The chicken and spare ribs are great. Brisket is good too! Could improve on Cornbread recipe though. Pit Boss BBQ is located at 856 Virginia Ave, Hapeville, GA 30354, behind a liquor store. Parking is mostly available on the streets next door, although you might get lucky and find a spot in the lot, especially during lunch or dinner hours. This classic BBQ joint is a favorite among Delta Airlines employees and a fantastic place to stop by, which is exactly what we did after our visit to the nearby Arches Brewing. A group of us had enjoyed one of Michelle T's excellent BeerYEs at Arches, and there's nothing quite like traditional BBQ to complement a beer buzz.
I ordered the rib meal, which came with mashed potatoes, a salad, and cornbread. Overall, the food was quite good. However, the cornbread was a disappointment—it was completely dry, as if it had been sitting out for days. On the other hand, the ribs were tender, moist, and delicious. I definitely recommend the ribs, but I wouldn't suggest the cornbread. The mashed potatoes were unique; they had a baby food texture but were flavorful. The salad also looked appealing.
