Average pizze quality. Not bad, but not that great either. We were staying at the hotel nearby, and we were told we can get a discount in this restaurant showing our room card. So we went onaon our first night to order a few pizze. The Lady who might be the owner herself, was quite unpleasant, and pressed us to take our order. Then, you have the choice with tomato or cream base for your pizza. But surprise, at the moment to pay, the cream base was 50cts extra, while it's clearly not said on the menu. It is said , choice of tomato or cream base, then every top up are 50cts each. This was really not correct. We then showed our room card, and she didn't want to give us the discount we were expecting to get. Pretending a voucher to show. . . We asked the reception of the hotel when we came back, and they never had any vouchers to give to their clients. It finally just felt like this lady was just trying to get the best she could from our pocket... We stayed two weeks in the hotel nearby, but never came back after this unpleasant experience. Too bad cause it was convenient for us to have dinner there, and we were a group of 8. This was not a smart move from that lady if she really wanted to get the best of us Prices are correct, and service was quite quick, but for everything said before about this lady, I don't recommend this restaurant, if she is the one taking care of you.
We visited on two evenings, the first time mid week when fairly busy staff were friendly and welcoming and happy to speak to us in English when we needed help with French! Starter salad was lovely lots of variety and a little tuna in it for flavour boost. Pizzas substantial and delicious lots of choice including several vegetarian options. You can watch the chef twirling the dough and see the wood filre in the oven! When it came to deserts, I had a lovely tiramisu a very generous portion. Our second visit was on a very busy Saturday evening and, although we had not reserved, the staff very kindly checked and found us a table. Even though they were at full capacity, they were still friendly and the food was still great quality. great selection of gelati complements the excellent pizza choices. Whle we were there, a few people called in for take away pizzas but most people were eating in, and there was a lovely atmosphere. Will definitely use this restaurant again when we are travelling through to the mountains.
Not the most exciting dinning experience, but a good food on Friday evening. There are many people from the hotel nearby, who go there at the weekends when the hotel restaurant is closed. It gets busy in the evenings, so either come early or book a table. I did not much appreciate the service no baguette bread offered with the salad, did not bring the oil for the pizza, no salt... little things here and there, which could improve the overall experience if being avoided. Still, no problem to go there again, if I am in that area and hungry :
