The restaurant is just over the bridge to the right, as you enter there is a chalkboard menu(they have a printed English menu available), pizza pans are hung on the wall for size reference, you order and pay - don't forget À l'abri beer. The server then brings your order to the table.We ate the green salad, a mixture of various greens with a delicious dressing and Du Pêcheur pizza. The later, was as a perfectly cooked mixture of lobster, shrimp, scallops, red peppers and onion on a white sauce base topped with mozzarella. This has always been a busy place whenever we have stopped in. You order your food and drinks at the counter, then they will find you a table and bring the food out to you when it is ready. There are both standard and unusual topping variations, for the conventional or the adventurous. The quality of the pizza was excellent, the service was quick and friendly, the selection of local beer welcome. When the weather is fine, there is some casual, picnic-table seating outside, which is very nice, but the inside is small, so if the place is busy, you may not be able to sit down right away. Charming family style pizzeria that includes an outside terrace located just past the causeway ten minutes or less from the ferry dock with a great variety of choices on offer including a full seafood one. We chose the vegetarian option with three types of cheese and numerous veggies and were not disappointed. Light textured crust and no overriding tomato sauce taste made for a great meal. Order at the counter for takeout or they'll bring the meal to your table.
We were a little apprehensive when we arrived at the restaurant; it was busy and we had 7 hungry people to feed. Within 10 minutes, we had ordered and they had set up a table for us. The pizza was very good: thick crust with fresh flavourful toppings. We had the veggie pizza - and enjoyed the leftovers the following day! I took one of the two choice that contains scallops because I am a fan. It was excellent although not the best I've ever tasted. My wife took a vegetarian option and she found it correct at best. Our guests took different ones and they were satisfied without going crazy. I know the place is on an island but the price is relatively high even if you choose seafood.
Excellent pizza restaurant offering both take-out and eat-in service complete with an outside patio for eating. Conventional and non-conventional pizzas available. We went there as a family of 4 on vacation, and chose to order 4 different types of pizza to split between the four of us. Excellent! A must-visit! Try the Seafood Pizza!
Great little spot on Havre aux Maisons near the bridge leading to Cap-aux-meules. Order at the counter with cash or debit. We tried 4 different pizzas, and each one was as tasty as the other. Eat in and admire the wall hangings or order to take out. Fast service and though a bit pricy, it is worth every bite.
