Popped into pizza express whilst out shopping with the family, can't complain about the pizza, it was exactly as described. I noticed those making the food had hats on but no hair nets were used, I'd actually mentioned to my husband about the lady making pizza and how long her hair was down her back. My son ordered a pudding and found an extremely long hair in it! They did bring him a fresh one and take it off the bill but that's not the point. I noticed another employee had a beard snood on, what is the point in that if nobody wears a hair net to keep hair out of the food. The food at Pizza Express was excellent and I was very impressed during my first visit. However, the service left much to be desired. Our male waiter addressed me as "boss," which was inappropriate for a customer he had never met before. We had to ask for the bill twice because he walked off to chat with other staff, who were gossiping right next to us. We also had to ask twice for cutlery for dessert. The staff near the coffee and dessert area were more focused on gossiping than working. Despite the subpar service, I will give Pizza Express another chance in the hope that the service will improve.
Nice food and very nice staff but the bench/banquette in the first part before the stair (where children's parties are often seated) needs cleaning. One of our party spotted some mess just as she was about to sit down so I moistened a serviette and cleaned it the serviette came up black and the serviette I used to dry the bench wasn't much better. It obviously hadn't been cleaned for a long time. Plus this was after I'd picked up something off the floor before someone stood in it. The food and staff are nice but cleanliness is important too.
We were seated outdoors and then left unattended. I had to go inside and interrupt the waiter's conversation to let him know we were ready to order. Despite placing our order, we waited over 30 minutes for our meal. Once again, I had to go inside and search for the waiter, only to find out that our order had not been sent to the chef. After spending 45 minutes there, we ended up leaving without receiving any food. The service was terrible from a waiter who seemed indifferent to our experience.

This was our first visit here, a friend had given us a voucher for Christmas so we opted to visit for my husbands birthday. We were sat opposite the kitchen which was cool but very noisy with people going past all the time. The menu felt limited and expensive, additional items on a pizza for £2.50 is outrageous. The food that we had was nice but we feel better value, choice and atmosphere at prezzo. The staff were friendly and helpful, helped us with the app when we had questions.
We went to this Pizza Express for dinner on a Saturday night. The food was the standard Pizza Express offering. The biggest problem with this restaurant is the location as, in the evening, the streets are not very pleasant due to the rowdy drinkers visiting the many nearby clubs and pubs. We were happy to get away quickly after our dinner.
I like this pizza express. They are pretty speedy and the food it great. The place has just been refurbished, so it looks a lot nicer than before. Overall a good dining experience. Make sure you book on a Saturday especially.
Great service and really tasty food. Excellent value for money when using the rewards app. Staff are kind and helpful and service is swift. No problems paying on the app as very user friendly.

Brilliant food brilliant service, imogen served us, she was absolutely brilliant no fault in her what so ever helpful friendly, couldn't do enough for us, overall brilliant experience !!
The staff at the restaurant was highly professional. While we enjoyed the tasty pizzas, we found that the classic pizzas were too small for the price.
