After being seated and given an explanation of how things worked, we attempted to place our order using the limited mobile signal and the slow customer Wi-Fi. It took an unusually long time to finally place our orders. There were issues with both of the customers at our table. The first person who ordered online had difficulty selecting dairy-free options for drinks, but the order was changed anyway. The second person who ordered had desserts added to both bills, causing a delay in serving one side while the others had already finished their meals. We often visit this pizzeria in Livingston, and our children love it. It's usually a great place to dine, but our experience on a Sunday in December was not ideal. The food was good and the staff were excellent in the COVID environment, but the place was overcrowded. The buffet experience was disappointing with long waits and chaotic lines. I couldn't blame other customers for cutting in line as it was a frustrating experience. The budget-friendly food was good, but the long wait times at the buffet made it difficult to enjoy the meal together. This setup doesn't work well when there are high volumes of customers.
I found the ordering process on their website to be inefficient. Despite ordering online, the staff still had to bring the food to our table. There was also a lack of personal protective equipment (PPE) worn by the employees, which is concerning. The quality of the pizza was very disappointing, as it seemed to be frozen and reheated. For the price of £22, I expect a freshly made pizza. I can get a freshly made pizza at my local chip shop for only £8. Overall, I would prefer a £3.50 frozen pizza from Tesco over the pizza I received at this restaurant.
Salad not topped up. Not fresh. The pizza menu changed. My regular veg pizza was COVERED with the most disgusting spice mix ever. Hardly any cheese. Couldn’t eat the pizza. Kids refused to touch it. Also, they don’t take your order anymore. You gave to...stand in a queue. Complained to manager about pizza, refused refund but gave a voucher for a free dessert? Will not be going back to this pizza. It’s a shame. We liked visiting here as a family.
