We had heard that there was good Indian food being served out of a PIZZA shop in Almonte west of Ottawa. We took advantage of a glorious sunny day in early November to travel to this picturesque little community for a day trip and as part of that we tried out the Pizzeria Unlimited restaurant for its Indian menu. There were only chicken dishes available on its limited menu but we tried the Curried Chicken dinner and the Chicken Korma meal - both were excellent, with rice and nann bread complementing the main dish. We heard from a friend that this pizza place had an excellent chef and he was venturing into Indian dishes off the regular menu. Having missed Indian food from living in a city, we ventured to try and were amazed. Maybe the best we have EVER had. Real wholesome ingredients, beautiful rice, and amazing homemade naan. You could taste the ginger, cardamon, fennel, chillies and the combinations were mind blowing. Meat was tender and fresh. We tried the Butter Chicken and Chicken Curry as take out and were so pleased with both. Order was ready in 30 minutes as estimated. We can't wait to have another date night by the river and try two other dishes. SOOOO GOOOD!
As a vegetarian it is sometimes hard to find just that right pizza and I hit the jackpot. It was the most delectable, tasty, mouth watering, left you wanting more pizza that has ever passed these lips. I could not stop making noises of pure delight with every bite. Definitely a must and the topping and cheese are very generous and the crust almost melts in your mouth with a hint of sweet. I have never been a huge pizza fan but after recently being introduced to Pizzaria Unlimited I just cannot get enough. The pizza is mouth watering, baked to perfection, offers regular or thin crust and just loaded with lots of fresh ingredients and tons of cheese. One thing I really like is that it is almost grease free. This is a hidden gem in the town of Almonte, ON. and when there I say you have to try their pizza. They also deliver. My tastebuds cannot get enough of the wonderful Indian dishes and pizzas with unlimited toppings! Everything is fresh including the naan bread! Delicious mouthfuls! Homemade curries and a butter chicken pizza!!! If you like spicy, I recommend the Chicken Bollywood pizza!For the moment, I recommend 'pick-up or free delivery' as the noise from the fan is loud (open kitchen). The new owners are focusing on creating an excellent menu first.
As first time visitors to Pizzaria Unlimited , we ordered the Hawaiian Pizza, Meatlovers, and the Chickenbollywood. We were only 4 adults but man we could have devoured another pizza easily. The dough was fresh the sauce wasn't over powering, there was actually toppings for each bite we dug our teeth into. Would highly recommend and can't wait to order again.
