The night started off brilliantly… the young lad who served us was very pleasant and spoke very good English, which made ordering easy enough. We ordered a garlic bread to share between us to start, which was absolutely incredible. It was probably one of the best garlic breads I’ve ever had. However, the night just seemed to go downhill from there. Reviews from other patrons encouraged me to go for the Diavola pizza (pepperoni), and all the pizzas coming out looked incredible. Despite this, when mine came out it was a sloppy, wet pizza that looked nothing like anybody else’s. We came across this restaurant while walking near our hotel and while the decor was a little tired, we received a nice welcome for the staff on duty. Prawns Pil Pil were shared for a starter and were not too spicey and the flavour was fine. Some bread on the side was great for mopping up the sauce! We both ordered pizza and both came out reasonable quickly and tasted delicous. Mine was a regular pizza with ham , mushroom and onion and was perfectly cooked. The other pizza was called the Estate and had rocket, cherry tomatoes as well as proscuitto and was also wonderful. A bottle of house red was excellent value at €12 and it was a nice Montepulciano D'Abruzzo. Don't be fooled by the exterior...
Friendly staff and excellent, fresh, tasty food we visited twice. The pizzeria has a lovely covered outside area at the back of the restaurant where you can see your pizzas being made. Don't miss the Dessert Pizza pizza filled with nutella and dusted with icing sugar, leftovers make a great breakfast too! We enjoyed our meal so much, that we returned on the last day of our holiday, chose different pizzas and a homemade tiramisu. A lovely finale to our stay.
La Locanda Del Paradiso is one of our favourite restaurants in Estepona. We visit here a few times a year and also go once or twice during our visits to the Marbella/Estepona area. This is a friendly family run restaurant with a very personal approach. The pizzas are truly spectacular and are made in a proper wood fired oven. My sister and brother-in-law took us there for dinner because they already know the pizzeria and the owners and the pizzas are great and the owners are super nice, well the whole family since it's a family restaurant so without a doubt when I return to Estepona I already know where they're going to take to dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
They have the most amazing professional pizza maker lady whose pizzas coming from the stone oven are cooked to perfection! Montepulciano wine as well as their Italian beer are awesome. We are back for the second consecutive evening. Not posh, but absolutely a lovely place with a lovely Italian family running it. Cannot recommend it enough.
