As the name of the local indicates, it is located on a road of a busy downhill road, so please expect noise outside! In summer there are also some tables at the door. Within simple and economical furniture (the locals were a flower shop). Food dominates pizza and pasta. This is also good because the pizza is prepared in a wood oven. We had a pizza tonno or margharita (both filled with delicious dough and good, but not very lush). As drinks we took Aperol Sprizz, a simple red wine and water as expected could not go much wrong. very delicious Italian food. we were there with a group of 7 people. all ordered various appetizers, pasta/pizza and desserts, no bad choice at all. eating was fantastic, apparently freshly cooked and the portions were enormous. the service was excellent, they were constantly around us without being too much on the radar. the total price for this delicious food and the friendly service was quite low compared to other restaurants and much less than expected. in any case a clear recommendation.
great restaurant, also with changing directions and specialities from different regions italiens. the pizza is very delicious and crispy. they immediately taste the difference, especially the edge of the pizza and the dough are upstairs, here they don't taste finished products! the delivery service is usually between 60 and 90 minutes with us, so everything is in the frame. next to the L’Osteria la strada is the location if you want to eat Italian in aschaffenburg.
