Have just returned from two weeks in Binibeca and so pleased we found this restaurant. We ate there on three evenings and found the food and service excellent. The lasagne was the best! Pizzas great and all other dishes which we tried were great. When we arrived on the first occasion, the restaurant area was full but when the waiter spoke to the owner/manager it was only a very few minutes before we were directed to the most amazing little courtyard, a table was quickly laid up and we enjoyed a wonderful evening. We were so impressed that I asked the man in charge if the courtyard could be laid up for our last evening as it was the best place we had eaten. We arrived on that evening -7 adult...
It 's a strange place. Firstly, it is a very nice setting in a little courtyard. However, it has the most limited menu I 've ever seen, essentially pizzas and a few 'starters '. We asked for a wine list and were told abruptly we have only house red. The red wine was ok, every table got the same. The pizza we had was good. However, the 19 euro meatballs was the worst plate of food I have ever encountered. 5 undercooked, insipid meatballs in sauce similar to Heinz spaghetti hoops, but watered down. It was completely tasteless, no herbs or colour. Motorway service stops serve far better. The service is slick as they want you in and out asap. No desert menu either. First, on the basis that if you can’t say something nice you shouldn’t say anything at all, the pizzas were nice. However, this was an outstandingly poor dining experience. We were a group of eight (kids and adults) and had booked a table for 8pm. No one came to take an order until 8.30 and no food arrived until 9.15 (starters and main courses arrived at the same time). The pizzas were good but the pasta we ordered was poor the bolognaise was still frozen and the meat was inedible. It was sent back but no discount was given. When we ordered drinks only half came at a time and the balance of the round needed chasing. It’s a real shame as this is a good spot for a restaurant but disappointing...
