Oh dear, this really was not a good experience. The restaurant appeared to be quite understaffed and the man who I assumed to be the owner was not very approachable and somewhat unfriendly. The service was very slow. The young waitress was clearly trying her very best but she did not appear to have much support. When eating out as a family I expect the meals all to n=be served at around the same time. Two of the family had pizzas, and two more had pasta dishes. The pizzas were served some 20 minutes before the pasta meaning that they were virtually finished before the pasta dishes arrived. No apology was given. As for the food....the pizzas were not good. In fact one of them looked like part of the crust had been cut off before it was served! The base was overcooked and the toppings were quite tasteless. The pasta dishes, on the other hand, were quite nice. Particularly the seafood pasta. Whenever we wanted to order more drinks we had to try and attract the attention of the serving staff and this wasn't easy. As mentioned earlier, the place was understaffed. I doubt I'll be returning.

Don 't let anything stop you from visiting this fabulous restaurant and sampling the faultless hospitality, food, wines and service. The food here is authentic Italian and it is fabulous, eating outside in the evening only adds to the whole experience. My partner and I were fortunate enough to meet the owner on our first visit, he greeted and treated us like old friends, pulling up a chair and chatting to us for some fifteen minutes about his busy business and explaining how he decided to open up in this location. My partner and I left this wonderful establishment vowing to return as we surely will. If you are in Coin or the surrounding area Pizzaria Trattoria De Giacomo is a MUST VISIT A place to meet lovelly people and sample some fabulous food.

The pizzas have gone down hill since they changed the pizza chef. Ordered two pizzas and one them had toppings which only covered half the base. Spoke to the serving staff to voice our displeasure and they said “please tell the owner himself as he will just shout at us”. Then spoke to the owner showed him the problem and he said “ so what’s the problem? What do you want me to do about it?’ He then turned away and threw tissue down and walked off … HE WAS RUDE. AS a family we have been eating here since they opened but this was the last straw… I do not normally leave negative reviews but his attitude towards us was disgusting.. will never go there again as he does not deserve custom… his people skill need a lot of work .

Not the most inspired menu...all you'd expect really from a basic Italian, but the choices are plentiful. However what they do offer... pizzas and pastas predominantly are really really good. We started with a Chicken Caesar, which was lovely and big enough to share as a starter. I then chose Carbonara and my husband had the Scillian pizza. Equally good. And what's more service was great and our waitress friendly and attentive but not intrusive. Not bad for an evening when we'd simply left it so late to cook and had gone out on the spur if the moment.
