The first time I tried an Acai bowl from Play Bowls in Watchung, the granola tasted stale. I thought I might be being too critical, especially since I was comparing it to an Acai bowl I had at Cafe Nune in Branchburg. However, I decided to give it another shot today and ordered another Acai bowl. Unfortunately, this one had a taste of freezer burn—it was quite disappointing. That’s $12 wasted. I called the store to share my concerns, but as I expected, they defended their product. The employee I spoke with insisted that the Acai was freshly blended today and assumed the freezer burn taste came from the Acai itself. I won’t be returning. I’d rather drive all the way to Branchburg to Cafe Nune...

Don?t go to this playa bowl there is an issue with substituting things with your order example I wanted to sub coconut flakes for peanut butter and they told me I cannot I can sub almond butter but not peanut butter .Never had this issue before at any other playa bowl. I had about 15 bowls to order and the place was not busy so I decided not to order since on the first order I was already told what I could not do .honestly I think the girl just wanted to count the cash in the register since it was the beginning of the day ? Will NEVER go back on top of this place was dirty mind you 9 am on a Saturday with no one there but the two workers .

The staff at this location are driving it into the ground by overcharging customers, refusing to accept substitutions in a rude and stubborn manner, and even discussing customers within earshot. I am deeply disappointed and taken aback, to say the least.
This place is as consistent as a person with bipolar disorder. Bowls are sloppy, wait time is 25 minutes on average for each person. And nothing is prepared on time. Unfortunately Bonji Bowls Can not be replicated. Worst açaí place in the
the server rolled their eyes once I walked in. She sounded bored like she didn’t want to be there. My bowl was missing toppings, poorly made. they took 20 minutes to make ONE bowl. The place was empty!
The service at this restaurant is consistently excellent. The attentive staff members make sure that every order is prepared to the customer's exact preferences.

This was my first experience with a Playa Bowl, and I really enjoyed it! However, they did forget to add the Nutella to my bowl.
