I visited this restaurant for the first time last night after a friend's recommendation. It was still lively at 7:00 p.m. on a Friday evening. We chose to sit at the bar, hoping for quicker service, but it didn't quite turn out that way. Thankfully, we were enjoying each other's company, so it didn't bother us too much. The bartender was always busy and didn't seem to take a break during our time there. The margaritas were excellent, although a bit on the pricey side at $12.99. I ordered the Tacos Al Pastor, which were just alright, while my friend really liked the Baja Fish tacos. I believe it's important to be patient with servers wherever you go, especially since many places are understaf...
Pretty good Mexican food we had the molcajete which had shrimp chicken ribeye vegetables sauce and cheese. It had a lot of food but the flavor was not all there. We've had it other places and ranks up there with the amount of food you get for your money but maybe a little more flavor. It really needed to have some sour cream lettuce tomatoes on the side and didn't although it did have the typical dry rice and beans We also had Pollo Sonora tacos that were pretty good. The chips and salsa weren't bad but I think the chips were a little too thick but the queso was pretty good. All in all we'd probably come back to try something different
I had a great first experience at this restaurant, but after dining there yesterday, I won't be returning. My granddaughter and I ordered the two tacos with rice and beans combo for $15.95 each. Unfortunately, the tacos had very little ground beef; they consisted mainly of white cheese and lettuce – that was it! There was no flavor at all, no pico de gallo, and not even an offer of sour cream. For $15.95, it's simply not worth it. Additionally, a Dr. Pepper cost $3.50. I don’t mind paying for a good meal or even a decent one, but this felt like a complete rip-off.
I encountered a significant language barrier while trying to order. The waitress didn’t understand that we needed more salsa and ended up taking our chips away. We asked for sour cream three times, but it didn’t arrive until much later when she finally brought a small plastic cup. When the bill came, I was charged three dollars for the sour cream that we had to keep asking for. I also think I received the wrong burrito. Overall, it was quite frustrating, and I won’t be returning.

The Mexican food here is fantastic. While it’s a little more expensive than typical Mexican restaurants, it’s definitely worth it. The meat is wonderfully seasoned, the vegetables are fresh, and the staff is prompt and attentive. We really enjoy dining here.
The service at this restaurant is quick and friendly, with staff members always willing to help each other. Our drinks and chips were consistently refilled. Every dish we sampled was delicious, and the menu offers an amazing variety!
On a positive note, the owner did reach out in response to this review, which I truly appreciate. It means a lot when an owner takes the time to connect, so I’m willing to give this Plaza Azteca another chance.
They make their food to order using the freshest ingredients prepared the same day you enjoy them. Even their queso, guac and salsa are made from scratch every day. That?s just how they roll.

Plaza Aztec has a great food, I’ve been dining in ordering from them for years… but I don’t know why they would charge me $7.25 for these “3 elotes” .. this is one elote split into three.
