The waitress, called Samia, was one of the rudest people ever to serve me with food. She brought the wrong meal, told us it was our fault and flounced off with a snarling 'Bon Appétit '. The cold beef was fine, (but the chips were cold as well). Her surly partner in crime gave us withering looks. He came to ask the party at the next table if all was well, then pointedly turned on his heel to show he had no interest in asking us the same question. The beef, which she had not asked for, was too rare for my wife 's taste, so I gathered it, and the bread, and the tubes of Thomy mustard, into some paper napkins and pocketed the lot it made a nice sandwich later. Just amazing. We took the train up as it was complimentary during Covid. Found this restaurant up in the hills. Stunning views. This place is a Gem the owner really should restore the glory, don't just look at profitability, go for reputation. You have decent chefs even staff but the quality of food is poor. Make some homemade meals. Restore the reputation of a good eatery- simple, fresh food. Limit the choice, upgrade the quality. This place is much better than a 5 star Hotel because of the location the breakfast, but only when Charley is there (he is fantastic). First decent food we had whilst in Vevey. The service can be slow but that's because they are understaffed. Don't take it out on...
We took the train from Blonay which runs every 30 minutes.It is a beautiful 20 minute trip up the mountainside,being english and not raised on slopes we declined the walk.Locals seemed happy to do the treck which is over an hour from Blonay.The restaurant was large and friendly the view from the terrace was great,you need to book ahead on busy days for a table with a view.We had the set lunch which was hearty and good value followed by the blueberry pie which was delicious.They offer tap water in a jug which was appreciated and the bread was good.We were asked by the chef if we enjoyed our lunch which was good all the staff wer friendly ,helpful and spoke english.Well worth the trip.
Sehr angenehmes Bergrestaurant. Nach langer Wanderung waren wir sehr angenehm überrascht. Handgemachtes Rösti, eines mit käse eines mit Speck und Ei, und ein wunderbarerer Salat mit warmen Ziegenkäse hat uns belohnt für lange Anstrengungen.Wir sind Wanderer und haben leider in der französischen Schweiz nicht viele leckere Speisen auf Hütten bekommen. die letzte Enttäuschung hätten wir auf dem Roche de Naye zwei Gipfel weiter erlebt grausame Self Service Athmosphäre.Dagegen ist dieser Ort mit der tollen Aussicht ein ganz hervorragendes Ausflugsziel. Man kann sehr bequem mit der Bahn von Vevey rauf fahren oder wahlweise sich mit der Bahn den Abstieg sparen. Réservez une table maintenant
Es ist uns klar, dass in einem Ausflugsrestaurant die Personalplanung nicht einfach ist, aber wenn der Wetterbericht für Pfingstsamstag Traumwetter ankündigt, auf der Terrasse viele Tische reserviert sind, man beim Personal reagieren muss. Der einsame Kellner, welcher allein für die grosse Terrasse zuständig war, konnte diese Aufgabe sicher nicht bewältigen. In den 30 Minuten, welche wir auf der Terrasse verbrachten, ohne bestellen zu können, sahen wir nur den einsamen Kellner und sonst niemand, welcher für den Service verantwortlich war. Da wir auf den nächsten Zug wollten, sind wir dann nach 30 Minuten weggegangen.
Nach der steif wandern Sie von Blonay es war eine wunderbare Oase hierher zu kommen. Zum Glück hatte sie servieren Essen rund um die Uhr! Der Salat war schön, aber das Haus machen Obsttörtchen sind besonders zu empfehlen.Auch sie gaben die Alternative von Leitungswasser als wir darum baten, dass Wasser, das ist sehr zu schätzen.
Genau das, was Sie nach aus der Schnee mit ihren prachtvollen Kind auf ein erfrischendes Feb Tag kommen müssen !. Einfache Schweizer Menü und Torten nach ist ein Traum für. Das Personal war freundlich und professionell. Gut gemacht Golden Pass ein anderes ankreuzen in der Box von uns. Wir werden im Sommer wieder.
After the stiff hike up from Blonay it was a wonderful oasis coming here. Fortunately they serve food all day! The salad was nice, but the home make fruit tarts are particularly to be recommended. Also they gave the alternative of tap water when we asked for water, which is much appreciated. Réservez une table maintenant
