as franzose I was very pleased to find a restaurant that canard confit and magret had on the menu. the first time that we ordered from plouf plouf at the beginning of the season, we were very happy: the suit and the magret came on a bed of a delicious pure with a side of ratatouille and the portions were generous. yesterday we ordered the magret again and were so disappointed. we didn't like all the, only 6 tiny slices of it, half of it was fat, and there was no pure, no ratatouille, just the kartoffels. the soße was as good as ever, but the part was very meager and the likes were not of good quality. it wasn't worth the $30 I paid for. this is my last time from plouf plouf.
charming bistro in free. reminded me of the Paris Bistro cuisine. we had the pate de campagne, wobble soup, canard de confit, coquille st jacques and cream brulee. everything was very good. the woof soup was easier than some by not using bark broth, although the spice were perfect. the canard was crispy with green pfeffer sauce over frit. yum. the cream brulee was tight with the cold/warm contrast of the carmelized upper part vs. the custard, but the custard was somewhat overdue. still it was delicious. very surprising. byob.
