This charming establishment was buzzing with customers, and the staff was incredibly friendly. After looking at the specials, I decided on a Muffuletta and some fried Brussels sprouts. The owner, who I believe rang me up, kindly informed me that my sandwich came with fries, but I opted to skip those and have the Brussels sprouts instead. In hindsight, I do wish I had tried the fried green tomatoes. Overall, this place is a fantastic local gem! The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. **Service:** Takeout **Meal Type:** Lunch **Price per Person:** $10–20 **Food Rating:** 5 **Service Rating:** 5 **Atmosphere Rating:** 5 **Recommended Dish:** French Bread

What a little gem! I spent a fair amount of time in Louisiana and florida eating Cajun food. This place is legit! My wife and I got the blackened scallops appetizer and it was superb. She got the shrimp creole (shrimp and grits) and said it was the best she’s ever had. I had the zydeco plate which was gumbo, jambalaya, and red beans and rice. The gumbo had a nice pepper taste, the jambalaya was great. The rice and beans were average. We also had pecan pie and bourbon glaze bread pudding. Those were real good too. When we got there it was a 20 minute wait (fri) but well worth it. Nice attentive wait staff. Look forward to going back. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

About a month ago, we visited Louisiana and sampled a variety of po’boys and other Cajun and Creole dishes. I can honestly say that this restaurant surpasses the places we visited in Louisiana. We stopped by on a Thursday evening for po’boys, along with fried green tomatoes and beignets, and everything was delicious. One dish we enjoyed in Louisiana was boudin, and I would love to see it added to the menu here. We will definitely be returning for more. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

One of my favorite spots is Rubber Bears, which specializes in Creole cuisine. The service is fantastic—always friendly and quick. You really feel the essence of Louisiana as soon as you step through the door.

If you’re in search of ambiance, look elsewhere! It feels like someone took a slice of New Orleans and dropped it right in Delaware. I found myself immersed in the French Quarter...

I'm a fan. In this cozy, unassuming restaurant, I've always been amazed by the food. We ordered the zydeco plate, black scallops, and blackened chicken...
