Poivre Rouge - Réserver une table

We stopped at the Poivre Rouge on our way to get the car ferry from Dunkerque. The first lady that greeted us was not really very friendly, but she didn't seem to speak English so that might have been why. Our waitress, Emilia, was lovely and very attentive! The service was fast and friendly. Unfortunately, there is very little on the menu for vegetarians - I had the salad plate as this was one of the only options (the other was a goat's cheese toast) but then found that almost all of the salads on the salad bar actually contained fish or meat, so this was disappointing. Lots of the salads were pickled or very mayonnaise-heavy, so I'd probably recommend having it as a side or starter rather than a main. However, I'm told that the steak was great - and it comes with all-you-can-eat sides and sauces so that's probably much better value in itself.

Tried this place as it was close to our hotel..... ordered a meat platter.... had to remind the female waitress/manager 30mins later we'd not received our meals.... then it arrived warm.... her attitude was dreadful......she took them away and returned 10mins later ..... same temperature... except for the fries which had been reheated.Ate some of it as we were hungry... shame because the meat was tasty.... but we refused to pay the full price 36 euros.... and reluctantly paid 23 euros....Would never use this chain of restaurants again.

Je suis arrivé dès tôt pour le ferry. J'ai commandé des boissons à une table. Courte attente puis commande de plats principaux, l'un était un hamburger, l'autre était un bar à salades. Le burger est arrivé un peu plus tard, les assiettes et les frites sont arrivées. La nourriture était très bonne, je n'ai rien à redire, les prix sont très bons. Il manquait un peu de service, je reviendrais ici.

Similar to a Harvester Restaurant in the UK. Portion sizes are small unless you opt to take the all you can eat salad bar option. However, food was good and staff were very friendly, welcoming and spoke English.

It's just off the highway. looked like the best place in the area, speed of service was good. Ribeye was not so good. Coffee was nice. All in all ok for a fast steak
