I ordered a medium poke bowl, and I have to say that the rice is typically the highlight at poke places. Since I usually get a bowl with rice, that makes up about 50% of the dish. Unfortunately, my rice was not good—it was clumped together like dry balls, almost as if it were old. Overall, the bowl was very dry, and they seemed to skimp on the sauce; even extra sauce I ordered didn’t help much. If you're considering a new poke spot, I would definitely NOT recommend this place. Poke isn’t cheap, and it was disappointing to pay for a meal that didn’t taste good, especially since I really wanted it to be enjoyable. I'm really sad because I have been craving poke for a long time now and was excited to try a new place. When you walk in, does not seem very clean at all. Seems very cluttered back there by the food and the counters, just yuck. They don't seem like they are doing a good job managing place, and they were out of a lot of things!! Then on top of it, they charge you $1 extra for regular ahi tuna as a protein. I don't understand why they charge! No other poke place does! I think this place needs to work on their pricing. I think they need to work on getting more things in stock and cleaning the place up!
The owner is incredibly rude and handles food in a very unhygienic manner! When I raised my concerns about the food, he became angry and cursed at me. The fish is definitely NOT fresh. Additionally, be cautious as they charge a $2 fee for card payments! The quality of this restaurant has declined significantly. This is the best poke place around! I would happily drive from Moreno Valley just to grab a bowl. The service is always friendly; they greet you as soon as you walk in, so I’m not sure what the complaints are about. The only change I’ve noticed is a $1 increase for tuna, but I’d prefer that over paying extra for mix-ins like cucumbers and soybeans, which is what you find at other poke spots. Place is not neat. Has a horrible smell. The food taste old I was so grossed out. Just doesn't make sense to open at 11 and the food look like this. They said it was fresh but how can that be when it looks like it was there from a day before. Definitely will not be coming back I threw my food away. I have gone to other poke restaurants and know how it should taste and smell! I hope I don't get sick
I wanted to give this restaurant a chance despite the mixed reviews regarding its freshness and service. Unfortunately, I arrived at 7:50 PM only to find it closed. Everything indicated that it was open, with Google listing closing time as 10 PM, confirmed just two weeks ago. The sign outside stated 8 PM, but there was no one inside.
The portions were really small! The server was providing me with tiny portions of fish and toppings. I'm not sure if the owners instructed the staff to serve less food, but it definitely wasn't like this in the past. I'm extremely disappointed, especially since I paid over $17 for so little food.
