A terrible place, supposedly a Guatemalan restaurant chain, but it has nothing from Guatemala, the flavor does not compare to the original, terrible service and they put a Mexican sauce that has nothing to do with the culture where the restaurant comes from, it is preferable to eat on the street with people from our country Guatemala and not in these restaurants that supposedly come from Guatemala but nothing to see and they play music in English you visit ready places to remember our culture but you go in and listen to music in English I think it is a frustrating thing to do this restaurant and not see anything of Guatemala
The place is clean. The manager/supervisor is kind of nasty in his approach with customers. They lack the chicken that sells the most (grilled), and have too much of the one that doesn’t (fried). That’s a bad proportion. They’ve changed the salads: comes only with fried chicken. The main idea of eating a salad is to eat healthier. I don’t want all that oil in the fried chicken. I want it with grilled chicken. No longer a healthy choice. Prices are way too high: $23.41 for 4 wings, rice, a bit of yuca, and a bottle of water. I would take a business elsewhere.
I came to visit New York and I didn't hesitate to go to Pollo Campero and I really didn't like it. First of all, they don't identify as Guatemalans. Terrible atmosphere. Too bad customer service. They give a Mexican sauce and I don't see anything from Guatemala. I prefer to eat at other chicken restaurants.
