This place has been in this location for as long a I can remember. I’m 32 and I used to eat there with my mom when I was a little girl , my mom is Colombian.The chicken tasted like kokoriko from colombia. But now it has been bought by someone else, and they’ve changed the way they season the food and cook the chicken. I’m so disappointed I went back there and not only was it all so expensive, it wasn’t worth it. I’m a foodie, I always go to the best places. , there aren’t even Colombians who work in there. The rice does not taste good. Before it used to be like Jasmine type of rice, delicious.For anyone that has been here before with the original owner, let me know if there’s a place I can find authentic kokoriko style chicken please ?? I’m just being honest, the people were really nice but I can’t give a review on a food that supposedly tastes good just because the people are nice. That would be lying and steering people wrongly by giving a false review.This place has a potential to be the best again if they keep using the original method to season and cook the chicken. Just because there’s a new owner, don’t mess with the ingredients ! I hope this place goes back to being the best
Any time we are in the area, we make sure to stop by this restaurant for their delicious Colombian-style empanadas. The empanadas are always available, otherwise they are fried to order. Their selection includes beef, chicken, and cheese.We recently dined in for breakfast and tried their maracuyá juice, which was also good and not too sweet.I don’t care much about service when choosing a food spot, but the attention here is great. The owner ? and employees were attentive to our needs and checked in on us even though it was just breakfast and all we were eating was empanadas.
i’ve been staying around this area for a week, i hadn’t found a food place that id come back to a second time until I came here. They got a big menu, great chicken, great rice, the fries are bomb. Not only is the food great, but the service is outstanding. I’m definitely coming back again. I got the 1/4th chicken with white rice and fries. Simple but they got it down to a T. Great job Pollo Riko!!
