This place is 90% catering hall, but the small restaurant section provided a very enjoyable meal at a surprisingly low price point. The ambiance of the dining room is pretty unique. It 's like an atrium: one wall and a bit of ceiling is all glass, looking onto a hedgerow beyond which lies the parking lot. Decor sends you back in time to the 70s and beyond. Waiters are well dressed and well trained. Dining room felt a bit cramped as it filled to capacity while we were there. There is a very small bar which looked kind of chintzy. Ambiance and wait staff there are many different rooms available to have a party in, or even just to eat dinner in. The rooms are clean. They are a little outdated. The wait staff that I have encountered are very nice and helpful. They also have a coat check and valet parking! Food I have been to two parties that have had passed appetizers. They are delicious! Mini rice balls, potato pancakes, mozzarella sticks, pizza, meatballs and mini hot dogs are some of the appetizers they've had. The garlic knots they put on the table are delish. Right off the bat I should state that this positive review of 4 stars is for Pompei Restaurant. I've now had 2 events there and the staff is fantastic. They are incredibly helpful and definitely go above and beyond to make everyone comfortable and do what they can to make everything you need/want happen. Scheduling an event there is truly effortless thanks to them! I will definitely be returning there to have another event that's for sure. Now, for the NEGATIVE part of this review. I want to start by saying that the food here was amazing! My mother planned my shower at this venue and was informed that we could use the larger room. However, when we arrived, we were placed in a small room all the way to the left. The ballroom next door had the music turned up so loud that I couldn't even be heard while opening gifts. When we expressed our concerns, they said there was nothing they could do about it. I had to rush through the gifts because no one could hear me, and I ended up losing my voice on the day of my shower! The older guests were very upset due to the noise as well. Went for a wedding recently. Honestly, I was not blown away. The cocktail hour was in an enclosed room with a lil bar. Food and drinks were not good. The appetizers ranged from pizza-more like thick dough with cheese, a lot of cheese stuff actually ie: cheese sticks, cheese balls, cheesy bread etc. chicken with some marinara sauce spilled over it, lil mini tacos that tasted frozen. I've attended two events here, and it's truly a lovely venue. The staff are incredibly friendly—polite and attentive throughout our visit. The food is excellent and offers fantastic value for the price! We enjoyed a variety of hot appetizers, salad, pasta, a main course with several options, dessert, and even a make-your-own sundae bar! You really can't beat that for the money! The restaurant also has rooms of various sizes, making it ideal for different types of gatherings. I will definitely be returning!
I visited this restaurant for a graduation dinner. The service was decent, but nothing exceptional. The food was satisfactory, though again, not remarkable. Overall, I found the prices to be quite high for what I considered mediocre Italian cuisine.

Went to a communion party here last night OMG the food was so delicious! The eggplant rollatini was so amazing ! Their sauce is so good! Calmarie pasta it was just so delicious! The bread the drinks the people the workers all very good and nice!!
Hands down the best Italian restaurant on Long Island!! The hostess and wait staff treat you like your a member of the family. The food is a taste of Italy without using your passport.
