Ponsawan Thai Cuisine

I normally love this place, it?s been my go to for Pad Thai since moving to the area, but tonight I?m pretty disappointed. When you order an entree with chicken in it, you expect there to be a normal serving of chicken. For almost $14 dollars an entree Ishould not have to dig through the bowl just to see if there is any chicken in there. We really didn?t think there was any whenwe first opened our bowl. The other issue is when we called to say something they said they portion the meat by weight, but thatobviously isn?t the case here because there was nothing consistent about our meals. If you?re going to use the price ofingredients as an excuse raise your prices slightly and give a full serving of protein. This is disappointing and makes me notwant to spend the money on a bowl of mostly noodles. It?ll be a while till I return if this is the case.

Honestly we never find any good Thai food around. This place has just been opened for 2 years and already got a well deserved 4.6? rating out of just 250 reviewers. This is a hidden gem a must go to Thai restaurant. You won't believe me until you havetried the food yourself. If you have been to Thailand, you know how the food are. Spices, herbs and full of flavour. Just theappetizer Fish cake would blow your mind away with those kafir lime leafs in it. To the dessert, most sort after Mango Stickyrice.. you just want to order another serving.. is that good. The sticky rice consistency is perfect the warm thick creamycoconut milk with some sprinkle of sesame plus those deliciously sweet Mango. A perfect match!! Are you salivating yet?? Go trythem out.

Tried a new [for me] Thai place at Washington St and Hwy 7 in Thornton. Ponsawan Thai Cuisine. I started with the Thai iced tea and fish cakes. Both were really good. It?s interesting how different this was from Japanese fish cake. The pad Thai withchicken was amazing. Subtly but distinctly different from ones I?ve had before. The noodles were almost but not quite mushy butthe flavor was incredible. The sticky rice with mango was good but while ripe the mangos were not great. Everything was platedbeautifully and the service was great. I definitely want to try other things on the menu but I always like to try my standardsthe first time.

Since I can?t hop on a flight to Thailand right now, I can pop into this little restaurant and be transported back for a short time. I love the staff, they?re sweet. And they always offer delicious additions to the meal: would you like to try some grilledspare ribs? Of course! And, they tasted like heaven in the sauce. Muah. We got fried bananas for dessert of course ourwaitress recommended some homemade coconut ice cream. We couldn?t say no. I?m salivating just thinking of it.

Had a good dinner here. We ordered curry duck, pad see ewe, and they were delicious. Very friendly, attentive waitresses. Will come back to try other items on menu
