We eat a lot of chicken at home, in restaurants, and at fast-food joints - fried, broasted, baked, grilled, BBQed, in wraps & salads, on a bun, ... Even at the most popular chicken joints, the deep-fried chicken, whether on its own or in a sandwich, is often greasy. At Popeye's, we found the fried chicken, "Louisianna style", far less greasy. The lightly coated skin was almost greaseless, thin, golden & crispy, and very good. The chicken itself was perfectly cooked, moist and tender; the pieces a bit larger than KFC or Swiss Chalet. The chicken is available in spicy and regular and is better sized and less greasy than the usual old standby fried chicken takeout. The onion rings and macaroni and cheese sides are decent. The fries are too spicy sometimes and the gravy is terribly spicy! They should offer regular gravy and fries without spice added. There are lot and lots of people who simply cannot eat spicy/hot foods and many more that simply prefer unspiced food!

My favorite place to visit when I want chicken. In the plaza with easy parking. Always freshly made and delicious. Usually have to wait a bit for my order but worth the wait.

Stopped in for a quick lunch for four. Chicken and chips were good, not too greasy and reasonably priced. Good value for the dollar.

Standard fare from this chain. Chicken was crispy and fresh. Service was excellent. Free parking a bonus.
