Popponesset Inn

The hostess seated us at a window with an ocean view which was quite delightful. Our server, Rachael was attentive and listened to what we wanted. Our meals were delivered as we preferred not to quickly but at a good pacing. Both of us were pleased with our fish entrees and would return to have these two (lemon swordfish and sole francese) again. Wine was reasonably priced and served at the correct temperature. Overall a very good experience in a restaurant we had frequented in the past but were not excited about for awhile. We will certainly return it to our regular dining schedule.

Got a sitter, got dressed up, went to the restaurant to find it was closed despite having a confirmed reservation. No attempt was made to contact us and several other folks were in the same boat. So disappointing!

Food was mediocre and overpriced. Wait staff you and inexperienced although well meaning. It was raining so an outdoor wedding was forced inside which drive up the noise level and general chaos.

Manager was wonderful; waitress needs more training. Unable to identify the sword and haddock dishes when serving them.

So nice to sit outside and enjoy the view. Excellent food service.
