Not the first and wont be the last visit! With so few lake/harbourside eating venues in the GTA this one is a must! The environment (on Frenchmen's Bay, sail/dragonboats,lake breezes and gorgeous sunsets) and the food make this a top of our list venue for special celebrations, casual late night dining or just sipping wine and quaffing beer on a warm summer night lakeside. The menu always has interesting choices and freshly made (and if not they certainly have a fresh from the chef flavour). I often have mussels as a main. Heard they had a new chef so went for dinner with friends 2 weeks ago. The filet was very good & cooked perfectly. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Went for brunch today and had the worst eggs benedict I've ever eaten ( I only got through a third of it ).After a very long wait I was served cold overdone eggs that were sitting on top of congealed cheddar cheese ( which wasn't mentioned on the menu because I would not have ordered it) and that was atop overdone pea meal bacon which sat upon an untoasted English muffin . They shouldn't have bothered with the hollandaise ( which they drizzled on ) because all I could taste was cold congealed cheese. The potatoes that came with it were also cold and burnt. Extremely disappointed and now wondering if I should go back again for dinner. Don't think so.
My cousin and I enjoyed the food ambiance and service. My cousin and I had not seen each other for several years so we had a lot of catching up to do. It was so nice that the server observed this and gave us our space during our meal. She came over periodically to check on us but for the most part we got the opportunity to just enjoy ourselves. It was a beautiful sunny day ,it was so nice to sit on the patio and just enjoyed looking out on the water .I had a burger it was juicy and flavourful. I can't remember what my cousin ordered but he shared his fries with me the were really tasty.Pricing is similar to the Keg.
Stopped in last minute for lunch with a friend and we sat on the patio. Great atmosphere. We had the burger and fried chicken club. All I can say is OMG to both dishes. The burger is homemade and juicy. Exactly what I'm looking for in a good burger. The club was the best chicken club I have ever had in my life. It's an elevated club sandwich like I have never had before and will continue to go to this restaurant just for that sandwich. Don't ever take it off the menu.The service was excellent
