I should have READ the reviews before going. I came to DC for a vacation and found this Haitian restaurant near my Airbnb. I wanted to give it a try and i was absolutely disappointed. The service is BAD. I arrived inside the restaurant at 7pm, it took 30 minutes to get a cup of water, I never received the drink I ordered and the food arrived at 8:30pm. when the food arrived I did ask again for my cocktail but it never arrived. I didn't say anything because the taste of the food was ok. When I asked for my check, I saw listed the drink that I never received. Will not be back. We were seated immediately. The server came to our table with menu’s and water 25 min later. 30 min later, we’re still sitting here. No one has been back to get our order. The table next to us had been waiting even longer. This is unprofessional, and it’s horrible service. I’ve heard great reviews about the food but if you have time and energy to waste this maybe for you. I could have cooked the meal at home and ate and would still have been waiting at the table. I forgot to mention this is the second time we have tried this establishment with the same results.The ambiance is decent. Music is not loud and the decor is authentic.
