This restaurant has a very nice outdoor area. We got there when it was light out and finished up when it was dark all the decorative lights were on. It was a really nice atmosphere. 5 stars there. The food was a mixed bag. If I was scoring just on the steak and salads it would be 5 stars. We got the STEAK KNIFE SOUTHERN WEDGE SALAD” and the FARMER 'S MARKET SALAD. Both were delicious. For our entrees we got the USDA PRIME ANGUS BEEF RIB EYE STEAK 16 0z with the buttermilk-chive mashed potatoes, drunken mushrooms with sautéed spinach, pink peppercorn-horseradish crème option and the Pan-seared NC GROUPER with the shrimp crawfish succotash, Southern style stone-ground grits, pimento cheese but...

Finally! My husband and I, made it out here “Saturday Night” after so many attempts of planning. It was a last-minute plan to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary and it is worth it we came. The food is spectacular 5 all the way! The food and smells of a wood fire grill bring back memories. Great job guys! We will be back for sure! This was our first time visiting and I have to say I’m very impressed with this restaurant. Food was phenomenal and their service was excellent l. Mr Calvin was such a darling! He made us feel at home. He took his time and explained dishes we were interested in. The food was served fresh and in a perfect timely manner. I highly recommend and we will definitely be back.

I had the pleasure of dining in for dinner, and it was a fantastic experience all around. The food was outstanding, earning a solid 5 out of 5. The service was equally impressive, also a perfect 5. Portland grille is one of the last truly special dining experiences that is left in wilmington (run on September much!?!
