I typically check the restaurant's menu on their website before visiting, but I was surprised to find that the menu at the restaurant was different. I like to order Eggs Benedict (or something similar) when trying a new brunch spot, but this place only offered it as part of a prix fixe course (two courses and a drink for $45). I inquired about ordering the Eggs Benedict a la carte, but they refused. The a la carte menu had only four or five options, which I found to be quite limited.
While the food tasted good, the a la carte dishes didn’t come with any greens or home fries, which are often included elsewhere, making it feel pricey for the portion sizes. Overall, I won’t be returning.
I would have given this restaurant five stars because the food is excellent, but the portions are quite small. I used to always order the most amazing pizza in the state as an appetizer or take it to go. Unfortunately, they no longer serve that fantastic pizza. As a result, the entrée and appetizer portions feel a bit lacking, even though they are still very tasty. I really hope they bring back the pizza because, in my opinion and the opinion of everyone I know who has been there, it truly is the best pizza I've ever had. It would make a perfect appetizer to complement the otherwise delicious food.
I had my first experience at this restaurant and, unfortunately, I will not be coming back. I was really disappointed after having their French martini, which I honestly think Hooters could have made better. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries, thinking that a $20 burger couldn't be bad, but it was terrible. The bun was stale, the cheese wasn't melted, and there were no sides—just a sad meal overall.
Not sure what’s happened to this once promising little gem! Pizza oven is seemingly closed for good, which is a shame, since it was a clear neighborhood favorite. The food is still nice but it’s a very limited menu and overpriced. They’re understaffed and seem to be struggling to stay as vibrant as when they first opened. I hope they rebound and broaden the dinner offerings.

I've dined at Porters several times since I live nearby, and I often order pizzas to go. The food overall is average, but their pizza is outstanding. However, it seems they've recently stopped serving pizzas. They also opened an ice cream bar, but I found the ice cream to be just okay; it's more watery than creamy. Honestly, I think supermarket ice cream is even better.
Unfortunately, they've discontinued the pizza, which used to be my absolute favorite dish at this restaurant (seriously, the pizza was amazing). Because of that, I can no longer recommend it. However, the owners are wonderful, and I truly wish them all the success in the future.
This restaurant boasts a beautiful ambiance and attentive service. The focaccia is incredibly fresh, and the menu offers a diverse selection that highlights local ingredients. I was pleasantly surprised to discover this hidden gem in Weehawken!
As for the food, it was dry and uninspired; I struggled to get through the chicken sandwich. To top it off, two days later, I discovered an additional $34 charge on top of what I had already signed for on my credit card slip. How outrageous!
