I have visited this restaurant times now; sadly the last time I went there for dinner we took a couple of good friends and the experience was disastrous! We had previously, had very enjoyable meals and with very nice service. By the...third visit I had established that one should not have the rib-eye or rumpsteak but head straightaway for the fillet which is by far the best steak served. The prices are not cheap, but different sizes of fillet are offerred and so one can take the cheaper option if it pleases. Sides we had were mushrooms and spinach and peppercorn sauce which we ok. Es sollte ein schönes gemeinsames Abendessen werden und wurde eine bittere Enttäuschung. Geworben wird mit „Das PORTER HOUSE zählt seit 1977 zu den besten gastronomischen Betrieben seiner Branche. Nicht zuletzt wegen seines in der Qualität gleichbelibenden Frischfleisches von ausschließlich jungen Freilandrindern.“ Eines unserer Gerichte war „KAUKASISCHER SPIESS Steakfleisch, Filetspitzen und Speck, 220g, mit einer würzigen Garnitur, Pommes Frites oder Backkartoffel“ für 21,90€. Das Fleisch war eine Katastrophe – fast roh – für einen Spieß unmöglich und zum Teil nicht kaubar. Eine entsprechende Rückmeldung an die Bedienung wurde völlig emotionslos aufgenommen und blieb ohne weitere Reaktion....
Though primarily this is steak restaurant, when dining with friends, I ordered fish (by the way – fish menu is handed on separate sheet and there is some selection. My choice was superb – succulent fish in white sauce with dill and garlic – perfectly...balanced. Salad was OK and everything washed well with beer of selection. My friends had steaks (medium done) – they reported them to be succulent and done to perfection. The restaurant is decorated Mexican style; tables are convenient and comfortably spaced. Service was fast and friendly. Note, however, if you are coming by car, there may be problems with parking in the evening.
I was in a nearby hotel, just to be close to the airport for an early morning flight. the hotel had no restaurant and the manager led me here, which was just a short walk away. after long days work and fight. through the hamburger eile hour I was tired, hungry and thirsty. the porter house is the perfect place for the solo store. good, easy to eat, big enough so you can't look like a billy yet not too busy that you have bad service. I had an excellent steak with fried mushrooms and garlic bread, a big beer, then a red wine. the perfect way to wind after a busy day!

Wir waren seit langem mal wieder hier. Wer gerne draussen sitzt findet einen tollen Garten der zum verweilen einlädt, alles liebevoll angelegt und sehr gemütlich 10 Punkte.Das Essen war lecker und hat uns besser als beim letzten mal geschmeckt ich hatte roastbeef mit Bratkartoffeln, das Fleisch war etwas zu hart und leider nicht zartrosa in der Mitte aber sonst war es leckere, meine Frau hatte die gemüsepfanne die ebenfalls gut war , etwas kleiner aber ausreichend, insgesamt etwas teurer geworden aber gerne weiterempfehlen
Waitress very kind. Eat very delicious. Waitress was humorous when I laughed at my guest's plate. There was only one piece of parsley in the middle of the plate. And I said to her that she probably wanted to put him on a diet. The restaurant is very cozy. However, the Porter House is nothing for the small purse. The food prices were fine, but drinks were expensive. Cola 4 €. Alsterwasser 5,50 € and a cup of coffee 3 €. But, 1x a year you can enjoy the delicious food. Very recommended.
We live close by and have been to Porter House three times. The steaks are delcious. My boyfriend is Colombian and he thinks they serve the best steaks in Germany. Everything is neat, all the extras taste good too, and steaks (especially the filet steaks)...are amazing! Totally worth a visit. The summer garden is lovely as well and strawberries with whipped cream and vanilla ice-cream. A recipe for a delightful evening!
Rib-Eye was excellent, great dressing to salat; right and fit everything, and for that you also paid a little more! and, not forgetting, nicer and accommodating service. short: I am completely satisfied and will definitely return here again! team. continues so!

Big parking lot. It gets full of cars by the evening which is a sign of being a good place. They have a nice terrace with a big garden, the kids enjoy the playground of the restaurant. Interior is very warm and nice. Food was...great, service was polite.
We greatly enjoyed this Porter Steakhouse as a large family group. The kids could run around outside and the food was great. Our two vegetarians enjoyed the fried vegetables and the beautiful chanterelle dish.
