Porter Jacks Grill's menu is overpriced for the quality offered, and the food doesn't surpass what you'd find at a fast-food chain like Burger King. The hamburger was dry, the fries looked like the ones you'd find under a grill after hours, and the oysters were small, about the size of a quarter. Despite ordering a variety of dishes over the past few months, I’ve yet to be impressed. I really don’t understand the high ratings this place receives. The waitstaff have always been friendly, which is why I’m giving two stars instead of one.
I've visited this restaurant numerous times and I can confidently say that the food is the best in Manning. Unfortunately, the parking situation is quite poor, though that might be manageable. What really cannot be ignored, however, is the disruptive presence of homeless individuals who harass customers as they arrive and leave. The owner must make a critical decision regarding what takes precedence: helping the homeless or ensuring the safety and satisfaction of their patrons.
During our road trip today, we stopped at Porter Jacks Grill and were pleasantly surprised. The decor was unique and welcoming, creating a great atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our visit. My husband enjoyed the prime rib sandwich, which was tender and flavorful. I opted for the turkey BLT wrap, which came with a generous portion of fresh meat. The menu offered a great variety, and we’ll definitely be returning.

There was nothing that set this place apart from any other small-town diner. The waitress hurried us, even though there were no other customers waiting to be seated. We spent less than 50 minutes there. It's unfortunate because this area could really use a quality dining option. Service: Dine-in.

While traveling from Florida to Virginia, we found a great spot to eat. The food was incredibly delicious - my husband ordered the ribs and they were fall-off-the-bone tender. The country fried steak and hamburger steak were also amazing. Our waitress, Rowan, was exceptional, being very attentive and going above and beyond. This restaurant was a fantastic discovery in a small town.

After a short drive from our hotel on I-95, we had an amazing dinner that we highly recommend. I tried two appetizers while my wife ordered a steak, and every dish was delightful. The highlights were definitely the fried oyster and the deviled egg appetizer.
