Portillo's Buena Park

I frequently visit the Chicagoland area, and I always make it a point to stop by Portillo's. When I was in California and discovered there was a Portillo's there, I had to check it out. One of my favorite dishes is the Chopped Salad, and the cheese fries are delicious as well. The Italian beef is consistently excellent, and the hot dogs are great too. I've never had a bad experience with any of their food. Don't forget to save some space for the chocolate cake—it’s definitely worth it!

The Buena Park location is always bustling, so we prefer to visit before noon. The beef and sausage are so delicious that I haven't tried anything else! I like mine with sweet peppers and regular gravy. If you prefer your bread to have a little extra crunch or are ordering for takeout/delivery, I recommend getting the gravy on the side and trying it with cheese sauce. The crinkle-cut fries are fantastic as well. If you're a fan of spicy food, be sure to add hot peppers!

I visited this restaurant for the first time after passing by it many times, and I have to say, I’m impressed! The food was delicious, and the prices were fantastic. We spent just $40 for three people. We ordered the #3 double cheeseburger, a spicy and delicious chicken sandwich, and a rodeo burger for my son, and everything was great. We will definitely be returning for more. The interior is also fantastic, and the music—especially the 50s tunes—is just perfect!

The atmosphere is beautifully decorated, and the cashiers are quick and have a clever remark for every order they call out, which is pretty enjoyable. However, the food—I ordered a chili dog—was disappointing. It was overly greasy and had a rubbery texture that made it rather unappetizing. The kids had the typical burger and fries, which were nothing out of the ordinary. Would I go back? Probably not. But at least I gave it a try. Réservez une table maintenant

I had higher expectations. The Polish sausage was overcooked, the fries were cold and lacked freshness, and the chocolate cake didn't meet my standards. I was really hoping to enjoy my dinner, but unfortunately, it was quite disappointing.

Everything was tasty, but I found the salad to be quite small for $11. Also, the burger and chili fries arrived cold. I suggest saving some money and eating inside the restaurant instead. I'm still a fan of Portillo's!

We ordered the hot dog meal (Chicago dogs), the chili dog meal, and a double cheeseburger, and everything was delicious! The standout item, however, was the whole chocolate cake we got—it was absolutely scrumptious!

Tastes like home! I was thrilled to discover a Portillo's in Buena Park! As a Chicago native, I left feeling like I had returned home. The food is incredible!
