Every customers nightmare I placed a order with my partner and went shopping at Walmart for household needs. We go to the portillos parking lot and hangout a bit. Watch people just throwing there trash in the lot. And drunk idiots come over. My girl placed the order so she wanted to go in. I am so glad she didn't. I took the initiative to go in myself. I go, check the delivery takeout; even though I doubt it'd be there. Then walk to the pickup area. I looked at a couple bags on the counter and, it wasn't there. So I wait a couple minutes and boom. There was already a storm behind the counter and the tornado came had just came in .These drunk idiots come in the portillos laughing like hyenas....
Additionally, when I requested fries with no salt, they seemed to interpret that as dumping an entire container of salt on them! On my last visit, the young woman behind the counter didn't acknowledge me in any way when I approached. There was no greeting, no "May I take your order?"—it was as if I was supposed to ask her what she wanted instead.
Last week, I waited an unreasonable amount of time for my order, which was just sitting on the counter the whole time. It would have remained there if I hadn’t asked about it. This company just keeps getting worse. Everytime I go, there's something wrong with the order. Mind you I haven't been in 3 years, because of some major issues, but I thought, give them another chance. Now they don't have prices for thier food, before you order. So who knows how much anything is in order to make a decision on what to buy? The woman that took my order couldn't tell me the price because they don't want to people to complain because there is tax added at the end. We've stopped at this restaurant the last three times we've visited the city, and unfortunately, our orders have been wrong each time. Today was the worst experience yet. The young man took our order and repeated it back correctly after each item, but after waiting 20 minutes, we received the wrong order. Stephanie came out and refused to correct it, claiming we didn't order what we thought we did, even though the mistake was not ours and the order was missing condiments. When I mentioned contacting corporate, she wouldn't provide the young man's name. This Portillos is a magical place where you can order a single hot dog in the drive through, then sit and watch while a dozen huge orders get handed to cars that arrived after you. After 20 min I started to wonder... maybe they're carefully crafting the most ultimate, amazing hot dog from scratch. Maybe this hot dog will change my life through it's special healing properties. Nope, it turned out to be just a hot dog.
I was pleasantly surprised by the chocolate cake shake I had. The place was absolutely packed when I went in on a Sunday. It didn't matter though, the employees were so friendly and kind. When I dived into my shake I was expecting some mediocre chocolate sauce wanna be shake. But oh no, there was legit pieces of cake in there and it was amazing. Now I see what all the hype is about.
I put in an order through Yelp for delivery. I started eating the chocolate cake and there are grey hairs or some kind of silver fibers in the cake. I found this out after eating half of it.... Nobody is answering the phone either for me to report it and I DO NOT want another piece. Ewwwwww
I had a fantastic hot dog during my visit on my way to the Frank Lloyd Wright Home. The long line in the drive-thru was a clear indication of how popular this place is, and I can see why! While I usually prefer French fries, the onion rings stole the show and were absolutely delicious.

The fish sandwich and the grilled chicken was good. My fries was nice and crunchy. Everything was hot and fresh. The wait was a solid 30 minutes tho inside :
I ordered ahead to pick up my my food at 11:30. 11:40 and it is still not ready. It would have been better to just come in and order in the store.
