"The service is a bit surly. The food is just average and I wish we had tried a different place. Just because a famous chef's name is on it, doesn't mean it is worth it."

Although we were only looking for a cup of coffee, there was so much more on offer in this small, warm, welcoming establishment. Plenty of natural light at the tables in the front of the building and attractive blonde wood decor gives a Scandinavian feel....A good range of pastries and breakfast or light lunch options are on display. They even sell appetising looking home made pasta (spinach ravioli and tagliatelle when we visited). Good coffee and a diverse range of teas to choose from. A lively crowd of customers of very diverse ages created an excellent atmosphere. The staff were cheerful and very helpful. Thoroughly recommended.

The Portland is a bakery run by a Michelin star chef Nicolas Adam. It's a great place to have a quick lunch there are generally several interesting snack menus and you can eat in the restaurant or on the terrace. The cakes are particularly good...and the atmosphere is relaxed and fun. I've been with friends and family and it has gone down very well with whomever I've taken there. If you spend the Saturday morning at the market in St.Brieuc, it's a good place for lunch on your way home.

We often call in on a Sunday morning and absolutely love their breakfasts. Two pastries, a juice and a coffee for under a fiver? Yes please! Have occasionally had to explain to the staff that the price is for the two large pastries, they've tried...to palm us of with the tiny ones a couple of times. Lovely area to sit out and people watch, totally recommended.

Accueil chaleureux. Endroit sympathique avec terrasse quand le soleil pointe son nez. Très beau concept. Des sandwichs garnit comme il faut à un prix abordable. Je recommande.
