It was the first visit here for the four of us. I was impressed by the layout and the ambience of the place, and after being seated the young man offered us water and took our order for garlic bread while we looked at the menu. A young lady took our order for drinks and the garlic bread arrived. My partner ordered a cocktail ($15) and the drinks arrived ten minutes later. The cocktail she ordered tasted nothing like the cocktail she got. I took it back to the bar and the lady there (who also worked on reception, waited tables and mixed drinks) showed me the recipe she used to make the drink, but said one of the ingredients wasn't available so she used something else. I will keep this review short and sweet.Overall my experience of Portorosa was good. The food and service was up to standard, how ever my biggest qualm, was the price of the food. May be you can get away with it in the heart of Freo, however for Spearwood, i think it is extremely over priced. Sadly, if im going to pay these kinds of prices i will make the extra effort to travel into Fremantle, so it is unlikely that i will make Portorosa a regular occurrence.
My husband and I are loyal Freo customers, and since Spearwood has opened we enjoy going here when we want to enjoy the ambience, good food, and simply relax. It is amazing how the two restaurants, managed by the same staff and owner can be so different, yet the same. Quality of the food is delish, staff is attentive, and now you can choose - funky night out - Freo. Romance, comfort and relax - Spearwood. Good job guys.
Nice interior spacious clean and inviting. Service attentive and very good. Excellent wine list, Italian Draught Beer on tap. Had Seafood Platter x 2 which was well presented and cooked very well. Could not fault. Noted they have Children's Menu at $10 per head and good selection. Ideal fro Family gathering or celebration

Dropped in for lunchb.This restaurant was very convenient to visit on the way home from the shops.We had some homemade pasta (lasagne), spaghetti bolognesi and barramundi.We were the first customers for lunch, so we had great service. We were a bit early so some 'set-up' was still occurring. Good pricing of food.
Gordana served us tonight, we immediately felt special. Her service was impeccable! We had our 2 children aged 7 and 10 who thoroughly enjoyed their pasta.The fish was perfectly cooked and very fresh.Pizza was fab!We will definitely be back!! Highly recommend
Finnaly i found polenta and porcini..amazing dish from italian tradition!!! Nice place and lovely staff thanks for the delicious dinner...i'll back soon
I had the best mistomare today made by chef kiko it was beautiful. I also love the environment of this restaurant its very welcoming!????

Ordered two types of pasta dishes as take away but we didn't enjoy the pasta. Enjoyed the garlic bread and the Staff were friendly.
