Posada La Plaza

A group of 4 of us had been for a couple of hours walking up in the hills then went into the town seeking some food and drink. Not been around here before so stumbled across this place by accident. A Saturday around lunch time, everywhere was deserted and we weren't sure it was open. Sat outside in the Plaza in a spot of sun and the waiter came out and over it was someone we knew from another restaurant in Competa and a welcome face. We ordered drinks and a plate of potato skins came with it. Lovely. Probably because it was quiet and I imagine the food would need to be prepared totally fresh. I ordered Chicken stuffed with Spinach and Prawns, which came with beautiful veg and a share of some chips. I have to say, the meal was fantastic! Two others in our party had Chicken skewers and another had a burger. All commented on how lovely the food was and generous portions. Will definitely be going back for an inside evening meal. Service was excellent from Fran, food fabulous. The bill came to 60.50 euro for 4 main meals, bread, extra fries, 4 beers, 3 glasses of wine, a coffee. Great value!

Food was good and included some solid vegetarian options. More expensive than other places we visited in Andalucía but cost was reasonable. Really beautiful location. The owner was unfriendly and seemed annoyed when we asked for anything. He was not careful regarding food allergies so suggest double (if not triple) checking everything for those traveling with allergies. Other wait staff was super nice.

Nice food!!! The menu is different a little from the nearby restaurants. The food is delicious and well presented.

normal. scarce food. bartender very in and without mask. lamb with a lot of bone. small salad. nice place.
