the poseidon restaurant is a pretty good place in the beautiful city mayen. there you can get good Greek specialties like the acropolis plate (a suflaki, a steak, gyros and tzaziki, plus salat and rice) and the Poseidon plate (a lamb chopper. a lamb fillet, a suflaki and gyros, with salad and rice taste.) it is a pleasant place, very well furnished. a part of the decoration calls the ancient Greek culture. in the inner is, for example, a white structure which consists in four columns with ionic capitals, which is as if it were a Greek tempel. the place is very well illuminated and the volume of music is not too high. the personal is friendly, professional and helpful, their members are alway...

I did found it by accident, but I had done my research before traveling here, so, once I found it, I had to sit down and try it. Food is good, good portions, some youngs servers do speak English, so don't be afraid to ask...questions, I had a traditional fish fry, it was good, not to fishy, and not to breaded, it was good, when in Mayen stop at Poseidon.

the food was very good and had a lot tast. the staff is very friendly and the owners are also from Greece. it is not far from the nürburgring, and the roads along the way are very beautiful and twisted. next time back! χαριστώ πολύ!

amazing place with delicious food! highly recommended! I really enjoyed my time there. the owner of the restaurant is a great person and he always ensures that everything with her order is on place.

I wouldn't eat here again. Salad was drowning in dressing. The meat was okay although the lamb was mostly fat. The restaurant itself was messy and the staff busy watching TV instead of serving food.

So welcoming. Amazing calamari and sole. Gyros from the frying pan had amazing cream white wine sauce. Thank you, Poseidon. Lovely seating outside.
