Poseidon - Réservation de table

My wife and I have visited this wonderful Restaurant many times over the past 20 years. We have never been disappointed and can recommend Poseidon to everybody. You enter the restaurant to be met by an ambience one has come to expect in greek restaurants outside Greece. We actually go there to eat the food not to criticise or pick fault at the interior decoration, or sit there bemoaning the fact we are sitting in southern Bavaria and not on a greek island. More often than not the boss herself welcomes you with a warm, friendly smile. No fast food here. We are very lucky in Sonthofen to have 3 greek restaurants. Each one has its own fascination. Poseidon is probably the first established. Many years ago when the present owners took over the premises, it had recently been very extensively renovated; expensive wood paneling of the best quality. This basic ambience has been retained over the years and slowly but surely developed towards a genuine greek feeling. Everything is snug and comfortable. Poseidon is always full which of course is a good sign but then again you have to book! Welcome is the feeling you get on arrival. Service is immediate, friendly and efficient. The menu is just right, not too much, not to little. The food is excellent...

This week we visited the restaurant Poseidon in Sonthofen and what a nice dinner we had! The charming lady-owner served us personally and helped us out by making the choices of the excellent filled card: 1 plate cold entry, 1plat warm and tomato soup as a starter. Then a superb grilled liver with giros and Zaziki! We definitively come back!

we were guests in a hotel in Oberstdorf....because of the good reviews we drove to the poseidon with the train to sonthofen and were not disappointed. super nice welcome and great food. you just felt really welcome....we can just recommend. Réservez une table maintenant

When we visit our family in Bavaria we would never miss going to this restaurant it is Wonderful and the food is as good as any place we have every eaten. The staff are always 1st class and friendly.
