You enter the restaurant to be met by an ambience one has come to expect in greek restaurants outside Greece. We are very lucky in Sonthofen to have 3 greek restaurants. Each one has its own fascination. Poseidon is probably the first established. Many years ago when the present owners took over the premises, it had recently been very extensively renovated; expensive wood paneling of the best quality. This basic ambience has been retained over the years and slowly but surely developed towards a genuine greek feeling. Everything is snug and comfortable. Poseidon is always full which of course is a good sign but then again you have to book! Welcome is the feeling you get on arrival. Service is immediate, friendly and efficient. This week we visited the restaurant Poseidon in Sonthofen and what a nice dinner we had! The charming lady-owner served us personally and helped us out by making the choices of the excellent filled card: 1 plate cold entry, 1plat warm and tomato soup as a starter. Then a superb grilled liver with giros and Zaziki! We definitively come back!
when we visit our family in bayern, we would never miss going to this restaurant, it is wonderful and eating is as good as any place we have eaten everyone. the personal is always first class and friendly.
