Full disclosure: Never graced the doorstep of a Potbelly Sandwich Shop in my life. Always thought this brand was on the same level as Subway. Welp, after recently trying Potbelly's Cubano...my taste buds are now telling me that Potbelly is slightly more superior. Real talk...the Cubano is actually good! Not exceptional, but good for a fast casual sandwich. Have to give credit where credit's due, Potbelly's Cubano instantly gave me Cuban sandwich vibes...from the perfectly toasted bread to the tasty pulled pork and ham. Didn't want to overdress the sandwich, so I decided to only add mustard, Swiss cheese, and pickles. Yeah, the Cubano was worth the trip, but I'm still giving Potbelly three stars. Why? The staffer who prepared my order didn't give the best customer service. I think he was a newbie. Firstly, I wasn't greeted properly. Secondly, he gave a snarky response to every question and request. Thirdly, it took him forever to prepare my sandwich. Furthermore, I spotted trash underneath some of the tables. On top of that, I couldn't believe how pricey the food was. I was charged $15.03 (including tax) for a Cubano (12 inches) and one bag of chips. Sheesh! Verdict? Despite the aforementioned issues, I'm willing to give this Potbelly another try. Location is convenient and the menu has a decent variety of sandwich options.
