From 31.07. until 03.08.2013 we spent a very nice and exciting time in Pottenstein and in the beautiful surroundings. As a “new” we were very pleasantly surprised by the town of Pottenstein and had the great torment of choice, in which restaurant we will return now. Variety without visible end and a guest house more beautiful than the other. We decided twice for the “Pottensteiner Stuben” (formerly “Tucher Stuben”), because we just liked everything all around. Fortunately, we both have a 2 table in the courtyard. There it was very cozy and pleasantly tempered, although the thermometer showed over 30°C on the day. The waiter from Pilsen is very commendable. Ruck Zuck stood the ordered drinks...
We were four for dinner at the former Tucher- now Pottensteiner Stuben. The quality of food was of lower quality. The onion roast was without taste, the sauce from the big bucket. The Bohemian speciality (my father came from Bohemia and the grandmother liked Bohemia cook) was a highlight: Bohemian dumplings from the cheap discount counter, three cold dry slices on the edge of a plate with relatively taste-neutral vegetable cream. In the middle edible beef roast. (remembers the meat of onion roasts). twice gave asparagus dishes: the asparagus was delicious and well prepared, but the meat supplements were small. The freshly prepared papal ham for dessert, as well as the good Veldensteiner faßb...
Since the town of Pottenstein doesn't have too many options for dining, we visited also here. The expectations were not too high, thanks to the earlier reviews. The service was quite Franconian in style, despite being handed by a non-Franconian. But I guess one needs to adjust to the surroundings. The menu sports typical local dishes, as well as some Bohemian ones, too. Unfortunately, the selection of tap beer is limited to a not-very-local bigger brewery and one Bohemian beer. The food was ok, but small adjustments would make it good. All in all, given the prices, this is an option to consider in the town. On an absolute scale, there is some room for improvement.

Top regional menu that made appetite. Inside the charm of the sixties and probably not renovated ever since. Don't be bad, it was full. The table, on the other hand, was not removed from the guests' courts and no order was received. If we are after approx. We went 20 minutes, but we were still kindly accepted. Famous?
We were in the Pottensteiner Stuben for three days. The rooms were upstairs! Clean and the beds very comfortable! Only host is very unfriendly! Eatable, but there was not much on the map. Breakfast was very good! As a guest house of breakfast, you are sure that you do not care about the availability of the host!
Wir hatten ein Schäuferle und einen Wildlachs. Beide Gerichte waren nicht zu empfehlen und nur in der Mikrowelle aufgewärmt. Das hörten wir am Piepen der Mikro. Das Sauerkraut schmeckte ranzig und der Kloß klebrig. Der Lachs war sehr trocken und der Salat matschig und einfach. Alles in allem sehr lieblos.
Wir waren in Pottenstein fast überall Essen, aber hier gehen wir nicht mehr hin!Das Essen kann man schlichtweg als aufgewärmtes Essen aus der Mikrowelle werten und trotz Reklamation wird nichts getan, sondern großzügig darüber hin weg gelach-schaut!Wir sind dann einfach wieder gegangen...!

Wir waren zum Abendessen, hatten leckere, sehr frische Forelle und Schäufelchen, die Kinder Schnitzel mit Pommes. Alles sehr lecker.
lekker, hoe kan het anders' ter plaatse gebrouwen bier. Keuken is burgerlijk met kleine kaart. Wel zeer aangenaam vertoeven.
