Have been coming here for many years…..after today I will not be returning ….we waited 20 mins to be seated as it was busy for tables. The young waiter was friendly but seemed rushed off his feet. We were seated and asked to order at the counter . I attended with my sister and her partner and her son. We ordered together, but paid separately . We were told our drinks would be brought separately over. The other younger waiter who took our order didn’t seem at all conscious …or seemed to even realise what he was there to do. We waited fir the drinks and then the wrong coffee was brought. Waited another 20 mins for that . We waited for an hour when finally a meal came 1 cold pie and salad . At...

So bad, honestly. Don’t waste your money or your time. First of all, all the tables were filthy.. we sat down at a table that hadn’t been cleaned nor been cleared of the previous plates etc. Someone was walking around with a giant bucket, putting old plates and glasses into this. He cleared all of the empty tables but left ours… this confused me slightly. I approached and asked him to clear ours. I got no response but he did clear it. Fast forward, I ordered the fajita chicken burger. The chips were nice but overcooked, the onion rings were only as I can describe as vile, the bread was stale and the corn on the cob. Well, it had seen better days. No one asked how our food was… apparently the...

Went for lunch with 3 children. Ordered and sat down, waited 20 minutes for drinks and after 45 minutes waiting for lunch I informed the staff that we had to leave soon as we had horse riding booked, I was assured it was being plated up now. I could see other customers getting frustrated with the long wait and getting apologies from staff. Another 15+ minutes later we still hadn’t received our lunch and this was now over an hours wait. I had to ask for a refund as we had to leave. The cafe was constantly seating streams more people while the kitchen staff were almost in tears unable to cope and I questioned why they were still seating people when they clearly couldn’t handle the customers th...

I have been a patron of Woodbank and the Potting Shed for 17 years. The food and service were once exceptional. During my most recent visit, I ordered cake and coffee. Unfortunately, after waiting for twenty minutes, my cake arrived lukewarm. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, the staff seemed preoccupied and lacking in supervision. There are now better options in Harden village and Bingley for baked goods and coffee. The owners should take heed of customer feedback and make improvements. Although I have fond memories of this place, I will be exploring other dining options moving forward after giving multiple chances for improvement. Réservez une table maintenant

Unfortunately, it has been a while since our last visit to this restaurant and we won't be returning. We have always considered the staff as family, and even my late mother was impressed with the service. However, during our recent visit, we had to wait over 40 minutes for our food. The staff were not very friendly and our drinks arrived before our food, leaving us with nothing to drink while we waited. The service was lacking, with the exception of one waitress who stood out. It's a shame that there were no name badges, as I would have liked to give her credit.

I’ve visited the cafe at Woodbank a fair few times before but this last visit was very disappointing. The staff were rude and unhelpful. When you arrive there’s a sign saying ‘please wait to be seated’, so naturally we did. A woman eventually came over and gruffly stated ‘sit yourselves down.’ It was the same kind of service at the counter. Instead of a friendly hello, it was immediately ‘what’s your table number?’. It was then a long wait for food/tea. It’s a shame as it’s such a lovely setting just some customer service training needed.

I don't usually write reviews, but I had an amazing fajita burger at this restaurant. The Cajun fries complemented it perfectly. They also included some tasty onion rings with salsa and sour cream on the side. It was all delicious. My wife loved her latte, and the Halloween marshmallow in the kids' hot chocolate was a nice touch. We didn't plan on eating here, but it was definitely worth it in the end.

We had a lovely experience today 2/8/23, the staff were really lovely and friendly, we were served quickly and when we made a query about something they were quick to find the manager. The manager was lovely and quickly tended to our needs. The ice creams (especially the unicorn one) was delicious and the lattes were perfect. A lovely visit to both the cafe and garden centre. Very disappointing scrambled eggs on toast the worst ever tasted! The toast was burnt and there was no butter. The bacon sandwich was nice but a bit cold. The coffees were very nice.
