The Poukhoun is a laotian restaurant read: cuisine from Laos and it's hands down our favourite restaurant in the whole Duisburg area. We have several delicious vegan friendly asian restaurants in Duisburg but Poukhoun leads the list. It opened in early 2014 and it's run entirely by a small laotian family. Mama cooks, the two daughters and son help in the kitchen and wait the tables and papa Poukhoun occasionally checks in on the guests. The food is superb and everything is fresh and handmade. fantastic restaurant. family run. we go there almost every week and the food or service has never disappointed us. the family that belongs to the restaurant comes from laos and has a deep understanding and a great love for their national cuisine. our absolute favourite restaurant in duisburg. we always bring our guests here and they all loved it!

many vegan dishes and a taste explosion included. it is really cozy, but very small, so after the opportunity to reserve or take the food too necessary. the service is very friendly and the prices are perfect in order. sad I am too rare in duisburg, but next time I will come back

very nice restaurant with friendly staff that offers authentic eating to fair trips. I do business near and regularly come to the place. the only negative point is that they do not accept credit cards, but if they know it they can handle it.

we are regularly there. very good kitchen, nice environment and nice service. small and crisp. plan b, if no longer table free: take them away and make picnic at the Rhine.

clearly marked vegan and vegetarian options, very tasty eating and beautiful atmosphere. instead of smaller location, so a reservation is needed almost every time.
