About two decades ago, the Prawn Garden was one of our favourite eateries in Mission. We moved away for a number of years and returned to Mission about two years ago, eager to renew our acquaintance, only to be sadly disappointed in that he meal was nowhere up to he standard we had come to know. We determined that we would not return but decided to give it one more try this evening. I am happy to report that, on this occasion, the Prawn Garden redeemed itself.I would not call this a fancy restaurant but it is sizeable and conveniently located right in downtown Mission. This restaurant has existed since 1961, so in around 55-56 years they know very well what they are doing. Their facade was remodelled 2-3 years ago and it looks much nicer with better colours. They open at 4:00 p.m and it is extremely popular in this town. Their menu is impressive, Chinese food at its best. What I prefer is to go in a group of 4-6 people or more if possible and order different dishes for all to share. Different Chow Mains, Chop Sueys, Chicken, Seafood and Beef dishes so you get to taste a bit of everything., And of course Prawns! I love the Chef's Special Szechuan Spice Prawns. The worst service I've ever had and there were only two other couples in the restaurant. First time I've never left a tip. Both waitress never smiled once and never cleared our table during the entire meal. The food was not worth the money AT ALL!!! They even charged $1 for a tbsp of sesame seeds. Never going back.

We ordered lemon chicken and the chicken hot pot to be delivered. A waste of $30!The chicken was rubbery and looked undercooked. The hot pot was an insipid mixOf soggy vegetables and chicken pieces that looked boiled. A very disappointing meal,Most of which was tossed.

By far the best Chinese food in the Lower Mainland. I am a Chinese food fanatic and would eat it everyday if I could. Trust me when I say I know my Chinese food. This food is amazing. The textures, the flavors, the aroma is everything. You won't be disappointed

We think this is the best food in Mission overall. There are other good restaurants, but for the combined fresh, hot, tasty, variety, and quick service, they win hands down. As any local knows, the ginger beef is to die for!

This is our go to place for Chinese food here in Mission! Always consistently good, the same taste, hot when we order take away, and at a decent price. Would recommend if your just cruising through town or new to Mission.

Terrible food, small portions, and unbelievably bad service. You will regret eating here! Even the chinese tea?(made with a bag?) was awful.

Have ordered take out a couple of times. Friendly staff. Quick service. The food has good flavor. The prices are good.
