Our company has been running walking holidays in the Hebden Bridge area for eight years and using a hotel in Halifax as a base. This year, at very short notice, we found out by accident (less than 48 hours before we arrived), that the hotel was not providing breakfast and had neglected to tell us! Most of the local restaurants don't open till after 9am and the local Greggs seemed to have problems with limited staff due to self-isolation. So, we were stuck, that is until I happened onto Preston Martin Café, who saved us from potentially cancelling the holiday of fourteen people. Zoe and Claire offered to open early to prepare breakfasts so our walkers could head out to catch the train to Hebd...
We popped in today as a family of 4 for a Sunday breakfast treat and were warmly welcomed as we entered the cafe. The food is so reasonably priced, quick to come and it’s absolutely delicious. The girls work so hard to make their business a huge success and this is evident to see from the many other customers. There was a constant flow of customers in the cafe, over the telephone and by just eat which is testament to the amazing cafe this is! The service and food is top notch give it a try I promise you won’t be disappointed. We have been many times before and will continue to support this thriving little business. Well done you have smashed it again
