I had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant. They messed up my order completely and charged me twice as much as what I had originally requested. When I asked for a refund or to have my correct order fulfilled, they outright refused, saying it was their loss—forgetting that I, as the customer, was the one being scammed by being charged for something I didn’t order. The employee even lied to my face, insisting I had ordered what I received, despite my witness confirming otherwise. The service here is unacceptable, and it’s clear that their procedures are flawed. One of the staff members had a terrible attitude when I asked them several times to repeat what they said, as I am hard of hearing. They also lied to both me and my boyfriend about ordering the six-pack of hot dog bites, even though I had ordered the twelve-pack. Honestly, I think this place should be shut down.
Always used to love this place. But, today (Jan 15, ‘23) I was in the men’s washroom at the mall, a Pretzel Maker employee came in , used the washroom and left without washing his hands…. I’m sure he’s not the only one, and it happens elsewhere, but when you see it, hard to ignore.
My favorite spot for lunch or a quick snack! The food is always fresh, and the Parmesan dish is my absolute favorite. The service is consistently excellent as well. Overall, I give it a perfect score: Food: 5, Service: 5, Atmosphere: 5.

Showed up 9:20 on a Saturday night (10 minutes before closing time) and was turned away by the employee who I quote stating “Sorry, we are closed”. Also notice a small group of other people also being turned down just afterwards.
The salted butter pretzel with cream cheese icing is an absolute must-try—definitely a 10/10! I always make it a point to stop by when I'm in St. John's.

Always quick and fresh! Lots of flavors to choose from. Way better than other pretzel maker locations I've been to in Canada
